Shannon brown......

^^Familiar face to who? I think Kobe and Pau are the only ones left that he played with here.

I still remember his dribbling the 24 second clock out possession after possession only to launch a highly contested shot that clanked 80% of the time. He's a little like howard.... take away his dunks and what others do for him and he's pretty bad.

As I said.... if Meeks can go and we get him I guess I can live with a different kind of frustration.... :man10: If it's a guy like Henry then I'll pass.

Well, not that it really matters, but since you asked, he also played with Farmar for a few years, Blake his last year here, Nash in Phoenix in 2012, and Wesley Johnson in Phoenix last season (and as mentioned Kobe and Pau). That's quite a few former teammates actually, I'm sure he'd fit right in and hopefully push Meeks right out.

I don't want him back. I was may be the 1st to complain about him http://www.clublakers.com/lakers-discussion/shannon-brown-discussion-t127026.html?hilit=sasha%20better%20Shannon and was only followed by "The Rock". I didn't change my mind since then.
Offseason's finished for my long sleeping nights. NBA is back !!

this,

i rather give all the minutes to henry, his shot selection is pretty good, he doesnt always take bad shots but doesnt always hesitate or get scared to attack or shoot AND he finishes with contact, which makes him be able to draw the defense.

if meeks and blake are gone, im fine with picking them up. but i want to see henry get minutes. i see nothing but potential in this kid. not saying hes gonna be a star, but hes going to be in the NBA for a while.

Won two titles with Kobe, Pau, and Farmar. Took Farmars minutes in the first title run and Sasha's in the second. Played with Blake on the team that was swept by Dallas. Went to Phoenix where he played with Nash, started, hit 36% of his 3s. Was a teammate of Wes Johnson who he started over until hunter came. Pretty sure he knows Kaman too as he was a Clipper and they shared an arena.

Its not like Shannon is unfamiliar with a lot of guys, that he's not more durable than either Steve, or that he isn't better as an actual player when used in big minutes than Meeks. .... I'm just saying

I haven't been able to watch the preseason so I don't know if I'd still say that after seeing the new guy(s) play.

He's better than Meeks for this team.. There's no questioning that.. He & Farmar played really well together & fed off each others energy.. It's clear that this team is going to be getting out in transition alot more this season.. Give me the guy that isn't a terrible finisher & thrives in that style of play..

Agreed. Meeks misses too many layups. Plus if we aren't winning too many games, might as well see some nice dunks. :man9:

Devean George won 3 with Shaq and Kobe.... no reason to bring him back.

Truth is that Shannon isn't very good.... neither is Meeks. For how this offense is supposed to work I'd actually think the shooter that isn't that good of a shooter is more valuable over a slasher that doesn't slash.....

Brown is worthless because he cant shoot. Check the stats Meeks is far better. I would pick up Curry's little brother before Brown.

If stats say Meeks is a "far better" shooter than Brown, I just lost all faith in stats.
