Logically it never made sense ditching what has been the most successful offense of the last 25 years. Did this have more to do with them wanting a new vibe other than Jackson's so they went to the extreme and bit their own nose to spite their face?
This core of talent would hurt teams really bad if they had the triangle to fall back on 50 to 55% of the time while hitting teams with different combo's of P&R action and running a bit for the rest of the offensive touches that aren't put backs.
I wouldn't be surprised if it takes this team a year before they become the monsters of the West everyone expects...... I think they might be really good by late this year but it might take some time and some growing pains...... team basketball chemistry is not growing a chea pet.
