This would be a dumb move by the Lakers, if they did that. 1 letdown, doesn't mean you clean house, especially when cleaning house means giving up the most dominant player in the league. :man7: Think about it. People are coming down on Shaq cause of his weight and lack of motivation this year. Has it ever ran across your mind that the 3 yr run may have made him run out of gas. Not to mention, jumping in to a season right after surgery, dealing with nagging pain, never healing properly. I wouldn't be motivated to work out either. Also, after winning 3 championships, it was obvious the same hunger wasn't there anymore.
Shaq has never liked Duncan or Robinson, he may respect them, but he don't like them. Losing to the Spurs really hurt Shaq, he will come out in MVP style next year. The fact that he met with the Lakers organization & hired a personal trainer, says a lot about how motivated he is about next year.
