Staples Center, open its doors for away games?

Postby ChumsGum on Mon May 31, 2010 8:23 pm

Anyone know if the Staples Center will open its doors for the away games these Finals? I'd love to be there when the Lakers wrap it up in 5 games.

My friend told me about this also how they're gonna do it for Game 3? She wasn't sure though.

I was there 2 years ago. During the game 2 away game there were several fights throughout the whole game. Once it was apparent that the Lakers were gonna lose the game, Lakers fans started to really let the Celtics fans have it. One Celtics fan got chased on the court and got messed up pretty bad, starting a couple small riots in the arena. They said after that game they would never do it again.

So no, they will not be opening doors to fans this year.

The Black Mamba and the White Swan
Kobe on talk with Pau about being more aggressive, "it's against his nature, he's always very nice, very white swan, I need him to be black swan"

i know its a public venue or whatever, but those celtics fans are retarded for going in there in the first place, then have the audacity to talk crap the entire time.
all i know is that no one is better than anyone else, and everyone is the best at everything.

When they scan people for weapons when they enter they should also scan them for Celtics gear. It will save lives just as much.

First of all, they shouldn't have served alcohol.

2nd of all, they shouldn't have served alcohol.

3rd of all, they shouldn't have served alcohol

4th of all, they shouldn't have Celtic fans there. Why would a celtic fan go to the staples center anyway? I can understand if the Celtics were playing there, but there is no reason to do it if it's just a TV presentation.

:man10: Daammn. Lesson learned.

Seriously though, the solution is simple. No green allowed in Staples.

That's a rule that should be in effect 24/7/365. :man12:

Exactly. Every fan should feel safe in hostile territory for games. Showing up to the viewing party of your biggest rival though, is just DUMB. Especially with booze flowing and security probably not as as heavy.

The only thing that can get me to walk through the putrid halls of the Garden and be among the Green Scum fans is seeing the Lakers live in action.
