Strangely, more probing and penetration from Blake tonight than from Nash in the first couple of games. I was impressed with his effort and overall perfromance tonight. He played hard and tried ro make things happen. Props to him.

He's been hitting the gym for late night workouts according to his twitter. Definitely a plus against the clips!

The dude has been really good compared to last season. He's still not great, but he's been a solid backup PG for this team so far this season. He's still not taking enough of his open shots, but he's definitely looked much better this season.

I'm not happy with him starting though. I'd almost rather have him start and then have Meeks play the backup PG. Or DJO. Morris is completely awful and Duhon apparently isn't any better in Brown's mind.

I have to admit that Blake's play is closer to what we all thought we were getting than what we've gotten the last two years..... His shot seems a little better and he's playing the best defense at the point guard position I've seen in a Laker Uni in a long while....

Morris having any stats whatsoever this year or than DNP is a testament as to why our Coach needs to be fired....

I agree. Blake is playing much better now, and is fine in a backup role. Morris, however, should not play at all. His minutes should be given to Meeks. Otherwise we end up with Morris playing the 1 and Blake playing the 2.

No. Just no.

Morris is just awful. There's nothing he's doing on the floor that Meeks can't do.

Morris cannot defend effectively. He cannot distribute effectively. He cannot score effectively. He's not a leader. He's not shooter. He doesn't draw fouls. What exactly does this kid do to deserve time?

Or I suppose more importantly what does Duhon/Meeks do that deserves for them to be on the bench?

Morris is horrendous. There's really nothing that he offers as a positive right now. I think his decision-making is a bit better than it was last year, but I wouldn't grade him as better than average at anything. And his impact on the court sure seems to be all in the negative.

Mike Brown seems to think that Morris is a game changer according to his review of his play in the Clips game. :man11:

Two good games filling in for Nash, but hopefully you guys are starting to see what I'm seeing: he's playing differently.

He's been in the paint more often, he's taking and making more shots early this season. He's doing a very good job. He looks like a solid backup PG this season.

Like Roos said somewhere: he looks like what we expected him to be. I think Nash came here and really made him remember how to play PG. I like it a lot so far. Hopefully he can keep this up.

I thought he filled in really well for Nash tonight, he looked much better than any point last season or preseason. Some of those steals shocked me as well, I was like where did that come from.

His value is at an all-time high...

off-load him before his usual self makes a triumphant return.

We better get a point guard in return then, if not, we get headless chicken Morris as primary backup :man5:

With Nash out he's been playing really well, hopefully he can continue this level of play.

I agree. I'm ecstatic that he's been playing well this season, but if that pumps up his trade value hopefully we can get something more consistent in return.

looks good. hope he continues his play. hes doing what mike brown forces him to and its actually a perfect fit for him unluck how it wasnt for sessions. glad hes shooting the 3 well and passing well. princeton is met a PG like him not Nash. hope me mix a lot of offenses together with princeton and run it more with Blake and PnR more with Nash.

this was the loss to the clipps, pretty sure the fan was talking major crap to him because it happened late in the game after blake had another TO, funny though the fan who Blake stepped up to looked a lil embarrased probably cause he thought he could say whatever he wanted to Blake w/o any reaction :man10:

This is just funny to me for some reason....

Blake's the starter and now doesn't give an eff...

I expect him to start flicking off refs and drinking beer on the bench.
