Steve Blake Discussion: Traded To Warriors

Re: Steve Blake Discussion: solid, efficient, productive

A lot of the damage CP3 did was on pick and rolls, which our bigs covered extremely poorly. Howard was uncharacteristically bad, wasn't showing as he should've, wasn't really a presence. Very different from LAC's pick and roll D.

yes I'm glad he didn't just stay planted at the 3pt line...those 2 rebs and the steal helped secure this win.

Really liked his game today. His rebounding saved us on a few key plays.

I think we need to do offense/defense substitutions and put Blake in instead of Nash, he's showing hes feisty and can make hustle plays

If I said he had 8/7/3 tonight, what would you assume the 7 was?

Great job by him of scrapping and absolutely fighting all game long. These are the types of games where players like Steve prove their worth.

He's learning how to board like Nash.

I guess Lakers and PG defense however, will ever be synonymous.

Offensively effective, and locked down Parker as well. Helluva game.

the blake mamba

wow he was just unconscious most of the game. a few ballsy shots he wouldn't normally take as a result, but no harm done. work on those entry passes though

Great game. He kept us in the first half with his shooting when our whole team outside of him & Dwight were struggling. Huge props!

He set the tone for the game early. Struggled a bit late.

But the reason why I've always loved Blake the person is his feisty attitude. And now he's got something like a swagger about him. It's something we've never seen as Laker fans and it's something I didn't know if he had left in him.

I hope he continues playing this way. It's really going to be up to him now since Nash doesn't seem able to go anymore.

Feisty is the perfect adjective for him, real. Dude just plays HARD

I don't know if we make it without his scoring in the first half. Everyone was trying to get going, didn't look smooth at all, Pau couldn't buy a bucket, but Blake gave us 18 point on great shooting and allowed us to hang on

Great outing by Stevie. He played his butt off on both sides of the court. Until the 4th he basically had 90% (just throwing out random numbers on this one) of our baskets that weren't in the paint.

Really amazing game. Props.

I just don't understand why he can't stay with the dribble when they use full court press on him. He looks completely lost in that situation.

Regardless, great game. Let's see if he can have another nice game against Houston.
