I'm going to hope for the best. Steve is familiar with the Princeton, so perhaps it will turn out okay.

We need Blake to play well tonight. And if he gets in foul trouble... well... there's always Duhon. Right?

:hoop:

If you asked me a month ago, would I take Nash sitting in favor of Blake as long as Kobe, Dwight and Pau were playing against this Clippers team, I would take that order with a side of route....what the hell happened over the course of this last month?

Oh that's right...Mike Brown happened! :bang:

Steve Blake is better suited to a system. Nash is better suited to being Nash. Once they got Nash they should have adjusted but Brown isn't capable of that.

Props to Blake for playing really well in the first half. His only real major fumble was that ball he lost going to the basket.

Hopefully he can keep this up. I don't think he'll continue playing this well but damn this guy is re-earning my respect the last couple of games.

^^He's playing good and as everyone knows I don't like Blake....

The only downside I see is that, Brown will start playing him at the 2 now. :man11:

^ Right???

C'mon man!! There's no real excuse to play Blake at the 2 this season ever and he still figured out a way to do it. If you're going to put Morris in the game, you're going to suck anyway. He's the ultimate ball stopper and turnover machine.

Mitch did an amazing job everywhere except for picking up that kid's contract.

Blake played a good game by his standards. He's not Nash, but he played well within himself.

Agreed. Still can't quite get why is Brown playing him at the 2.

gotta give blake credit. He played his heart out today. He cares. N im sure the fan he was jawing at said something personal like his family or something. Athletes dont react unless unnecessary personal attack was made. I gained respect for blake stepping up in the absence of nash. Although lacking in areas, boy showed heart.

Blake played really hard. Props to him tonight.

But some of those turnovers from the top of the key trying to get it to the wing make me cringe ...

PG's shouldn't mess up easy passes that bad.

We still need a better backup.

I liked Blake's effort tonight. He was victim of a few bad calls. Telegraphed a couple passes. It seemed like he really got up for this game because he started. Hopefully he keeps up this intensity every game.

Another solid game by Blake ... he played solid D on CP3 ... Say what you want about him but he's giving his all and has the right attitude

Play the video FULL SCREEN to see what's going on.

He first gets into it with the fan at the 40 second mark.

He really cusses him out at the 29 second mark after he throws a bad pass and turns the ball over and commiting a foul afterwards.

Judging by the body language, it's the fan who is guilty, not Steve.

+1. Blake is playing hard but he just isn't good enough. If Nash were to really get hurt and be out for an extended time we'd be toast. Blake starting isn't going to win you many, if any, games.

We desperately need a backup PG to spell minutes for Nash, and be a legitimate threat if Nash goes down.

Morris isn't going to cut it at all. Why didn't he play Duhon?

One thing's for sure, his defense was much better than Nash's D would have been. He didn't stop CP3, but he did present a painful speedbump of sorts.

Yeah that's what I think. I'm guessing this "fan" was talking some trash to Blake telling him he sucked. I'd be pist too. That guy is an idiot. Blake played a good game regardless of his turnovers. He's Just a rich guy who doesn't know two things about basketball, just how to pay for a game and how to sit courtside.
