with fisher gone, kobe is the only one that should ever take the final shot even if hes covered by 4 people and just contributed greatly to choking away a 7 point lead

Durant took away the top inbound and Kobe tried to go to the far corner off of Pau's screen. That seemed to be the play. It was Ron who decided what to do. Or Brown for not having a better plan to get Kobe the ball with 5+ seconds left. Blake took the shot but as I mentioned in the Bynum thread, had Bynum in the paint if he would've looked.

No. In the video, Ibaka switches and Kobe peels over toward the ref instead of going to the corner. It would've taken a hell of a pass from Ron to get there without Ibaka's long arms fouling it up.

Actually I see Ibaka switching, and Gasol having a clear path to the basket in +1 second.

All I know is that it's not what the coaching staff drew up.

Blake had a great look and in general he has been shooting well from distance in the playoffs...

I really have no idea WTF Kobe is complaining about? its not like he could hit a shot from long distance to save his life.

Well it's never Kobe fault ... more than this last play , I think the fact Kobe dribbled off 13 seconds off the clock ( with OKC still having 1 foul to give) was a horrible decision ...

In Jordan's defense, I do recall him hitting a few buzzer beaters as a Laker, and he did hit a game winning 3 for the Nets this season.

he was money at the end of the 2nd from half court. it became laughable for a bit, i WANTED Farms=ar to do a leapfrog 3 from 60 feet at the buzzer for the half.

does seem more likely he was talking about Fish tough, didn't think of that.

It was a good shot to take considering it was wide open, it just didn't fall through. Some people said that he should've passed to Kobe but he was no where near and there were only a few seconds left on the clock.

man I hate Blake the player but some of you guys are ridiculous for saying he should've passed it to Kobe, there was 7 secs left, he was WIDE open and dont even say he was Wide open for a reason. That reason wasn't cause he sucks, cause Westbrook was stupid and was in the paint thinking Blake was going to cut it. Knowing the sequence of events in the last 2 mins, I highly doubt Kobe even gets off a good shot, probably shooting over 3 guys or more likely turn it over with his patented pump fake pump fake, stupid shot.

Awe EGO Ears is at home talking crap just like the scrub he is.... lol...

It was a good look and Blake did the right thing it just didn't go down.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Apparently the "Farmar" tweet was an impersonation. I just read that Farmar does not even have a twitter account.
Vitti uttered three words that surely applies to how Bryant made two free throws on one leg, walked off the court on his own and processed his rehabilitation plan amid the pain, frustration and tears.

“That’s really cool.”

It was a good shot. I'm not made at the look. It couldn't have been any better than that. However, I'm sick of Steve and his inconsistent play. He goes through stretches where he plays horribly. I'm saddened by the fact that he is actually outplaying Ramon right now. If we had a legitimate one playing at that position and giving us a decent level of production, this series would be 1-1. 2 pts for both him and Ramon. I keep harping on it because you are not going to win games that way consistently.

steve blake was open and was a good shot just missed. considering how our pg have been playing i wouldnt have wanted that "option player" in the play to be steve. would have wanted this lineup:

Kobe
Metta
Pau
Hill
Bynum

hear me our...weird lineup but would have like pau inbounding the ball. hes a better passer than anyone on our team and is taller too. i think hill is more than capable of setting a good screen and metta in that corner would have been better than blake just bc of the way he's been shooting. also maybe a better play that didnt involve a pass over the whole court to kobe who EVERY player was looking at. maybe a good play with him closer? idk but would have rather had mwp than blake for the 3
