No one wanted Blake that "was" the problem.

I forgot this guy already with Duhon doing an absolutely splendid job

i honestly cant wait for him to get back. hes not an amzing player or anything but he brings it EVERY game. he is an extremely scrappy defender and doesnt back down from anyone. i think his energy and feistiness on defense would be good for our perimeter D. hes not gunna be amazing or anything but it would be a step up in that department from what we have.

I don't think D'antoni was just paying lip service when he praised Blake and talked about how he's wanted him for the last 10 years. It was a bit of an exaggeration, but it's clear that D'antoni's system is great for PG's. I think Blake can help us out a lot more than Duhon. He's a better passer and although Duhon's been shooting the three better, I feel like Duhon doesn't actually position himself to get many good three point looks. Blake actually moves around and spots up in positions where he can receive a pass for an open three.

This is probably just hopeful thinking, but I think we might actually see glimpses of the Steve Blake we thought we signed three years ago.

once hes healthy and back in game shape i believe we will. if duhon can look as good as he has some games then blake easily can too. wont be every game, but well see the blazers blake we wanted sometimes im sure. better than the blake weve had so far; id bet money on that.

Do not want. Blake literally isn't good at anything.

Duhon isn't good because he isn't playing any consistent minutes. Same with Morris. If either one gets 20 minutes consistently, they out-perform Blake at least 7 times in 10 games.

i think he's a better overall pg than duhon or morris, assuming he returns to his normal self. that doesn't mean he's good; it just means he's short of cringe-worthy.

mad we got rid of glock though. could you imagine him out there with nash. cant be worse on d anyways. plus meeks shooting bad nights maybe glock can help him out with some 3's of his own. and his drives actually give us points with his floater. hes ruling the dleague and has nba games under his belt scoring double figures in many of them at a high %

Duhon is playing like garbage recently... Blake would be a good upgrade.

In MDA's system, I think he'd thrive.

For what it's worth MDA has said this a few times since being here that he has always loved, wanted him on his teams, and thought Blake's game would be a match made in heaven with his system.

Does Blake become a + when he returns?

More depth & can't deny his "playmaking" is superior to Morris & Duhon's. Other aspects of his game, not so much.

I think so. People continuosly bash him, and most of it is justified, but he is still a way better option than Morris, and most times Duhon.

Don't forget he's been a 40% 3 pt shooter for us this season while taking a good amount of them. He still has some redeeming qualities

I want to see him in MDA's system. He might be able to knock down some threes... but he'll be so slow and rusty when he comes back.

u say that now, probably forgot the hesistation to shoot, the no creating for others or just overall passive nature of his game.

I don't think I've seen a stretch during which Blake played as well as Duhon did when Nash was out in his Lakers tenure .
