The Lakers have an OEff of 105.6 & a DEff 94.8 in the 64 minutes that Steve Blake's played in the 4 games since he returned.

Blake and Pau have something working. Hopefully they'll stabilize the 2nd unit. This is where someone like Ebanks can thrive as a slasher but that mofool doesnt even try. 4 different head coaches saw nothing in him

Steve Blake since returning has looked very good.

I thought his work in the 4th quarter against Detroit was fantastic. His shot looks more confident, he doesn't mind running out and getting on the break, and he's a fiesty defender which is always a plus.

Hopefully, he's going to shoot some more today. We don't have Metta, and someone has to chuck all those shots. If Kobe is in his new "facilitating mode", Jamison/Nash/Blake have to take Metta's shots. Which is probably for the best anyway.

However, the defense.... oh the defense....

Great game from Blake. Very productive, and helped us keep our lead in a tough time to start the 4th.

That's 2 (maybe 3) games when he's come in and done a fantastic job in the 4th quarter.

I'm starting to really like the way he's playing... If he can just come into the game in the 4th and do THIS... We might just make a run at the playoffs.

Man, I was so down on him coming back. Wow. He was huge and kept us in the game and more importantly kept Kobe on the bench to get some rest...

Gave us a great boost when he came. Great game.

That stretch of scoring, wow, didn't know he still had that in him, that was huge.

Great game from him tonight. We know he can't do it every game but Blake has games like this. Should have more of them with D'antoni.

Has D'Antoni actually unlocked the real Steve Blake before he got here to the Lakers? Wow his body language and the way he goes about it on the court is completely different than how we're used to seeing.

Mike Brown killed all his offense... or something like that. This wasn't the Blake I was watching last year, that's for sure.

With Nash there nobody expects him to play like a starter, that's the big difference !!

played very well. made good decisions and can really run the point very well as a backup. he was aggressive in the 4th when the team needed someone to step up and he scored like 7 straight. looks like hes been learning from nash bc he had some of his moves. that probing and shooting baseline...the one legged jumper that he passed to sacre who made an excellent read and pass to blake for the 3. looked good out there.

AND drew 2 offensive fouls in a row!!!! great game even if #'s dont show it

8 miles had a few solid minutes out there when we needed. He scored on 3 consecutive possessions...probably a career high for him LOL.

just night and day difference with him as backup pg vs. duhon/morris. he's no star, but at least he doesn't actively hurt the team like other options. he did some very good things to keep the lakers afloat in both halves in terms of probing the defense on the dribble and knocking down shots.

imagine if the lakers had both him and nash for the entire season.

He's a great 3pt shooter when he wants to be and he usually starts to slack off when he becomes hesitant to shoot.
