There had to be alcohol involved. This sounds like something that would happen to my group of friends when we're 'acting a fool' on a Saturday night. Sober people just don't get injuries that stupid.

If what he stepped on is indeed those large-toothed spikes that you're not supposed to reverse on at parking gates, then Blake is an idiot.

But if the spikes were actually the kind of spikes that cops lay on roads to stop cars in criminal pursuit, then maybe that's a little more excusable. Those are designed to be camouflaged on the road... I think. But either way how do you not look where your stepping?
