I would so throw in $20 for this, the people of LA, OC, and Vegas need to get together on this. :man10: Heck, get Hawaii in on this too, they're probably mostly Laker fans.

My mind ran off on Space Cadet and his adventure up in Utah during All Star weekend a few years back.

There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

On a serious note.....has there been any report on how DEEP a puncture wound on his bare foot he sustained? Think about how sharp those are and if he hit it with much weight or force could have gone right through his damn foot. YIKES!!!

Big opportunity for Duhon, Morris?

UPDATE: With Steve Blake's freak injury keeping him sidelined throughout training camp, we have to wonder if this could give veteran Chris Duhon and promising second-year player Darius Morris a chance to take over the primary backup spot to Steve Nash.

As we mentioned earlier this month, Blake's PER has been among the worst in the league among regular rotation players each of the past two seasons, and at age 32 an argument could be made that his best days may be behind him. Duhon, 30, presents a slightly younger option with a wealth of experience and similiar shooting and assist-to-turnover numbers. Morris could be the X-Factor, here. A star at Michigan who came out after his sophomore season, the 6-foot-4 guard is a quick learner who still needs to work on his jumper but showed glimpses during the summer league. The 21-year-old played in only 19 games last season, but could end up being a factor.

- Joe Kaiser

I had no idea Blake's PER was among the worst in the league the last TWO seasons. I thought he was bad, but not that bad.

Blake has definitely been a let down during his time as a Laker, and whenever he appears to have turned the corner he gets injured. Hopefully Morris has improved enough both physically and mentally to take over the back up PG spot.

He said I am healing great and I'm cleared to use my heel now and start spot shooting. I'll be playing again in no time. Can't wait.

Seriously. :man10:

1. How do you step on a spike strip? Those things are very obvious and easy to avoid.
2. How does a tire strip in a parking lot puncture your foot? Those things are thick as hell and designed to pierce the thick rubber of tires, not the relatively small surface of someone's foot. It'd be like forcing a hammer through your foot... What did he stomp on it?

Yeah probably, but Blake is good enough. He can play the required 20-22 minutes a night to give Nash a rest and that's all we need. He'll average his 5/3/2 in 20 minutes and that'll be enough.

I was worried before, but it seems the 3 week prediction was high. I give him probably a month before he's 100% and plays confidently again.
