Nothing new. We all knew he wasn't coming back this week. I still think it's gonna be at least 15 days until his first game back.

It seems a lot of you were right about the Christmas return date. I was trying to be optimistic about him returning earlier than that, but from what he's telling reporters (and the way he's saying it) it doesn't seem likely that he'll be back in a week maybe even two. As long as he comes back 100% I don't have an issue waiting, but until then I just hope this team can get it together more so we won't have such a huge hill to climb.

considering he has an old arse, the rest might be helpful for him down the road in the post-season.

That is of course, if we make it.

I was hoping with the addition of Nash and Howard that we would get past the 2nd round. Now we're worrying about whether we'll make it to the postseason.

There has been an update about once a week, you can check the previous pages for the quotes. However, it's not looking good and he'll likely be out for at least another two to three weeks.

He's making progress, fortunately. He's participating in various agility and jogging drills. So, we wait. I think he'll be back by the middle of December, actually. No source, just a hunch. Around the 14th or 15th...

Dear Santa,

I know that you´re supposed to be very busy this time of the year, making sure all the presents are ready and wrapped for Christmas Eve.

I write just to tell you that, as for my christmas present, I just want Nash to be back - strong & fully recovered - until december ends.

I have this very cool dream in which I´m logging into LATimes/NBA and find absolutely no LAL article that uses the words "one week later".

Is that too much to ask? I hope not. I´ll be a good boy, I promise. :man3:

My best wishes,

M.A.

Dont hate me guys, but I had a Nash dream last night. It was a short dream and started with the understanding that Nash came back early. He takes the inbounds, pushes past half court and collapses soon after that. In extreme pain, as if he broke his leg. I woke up, and have hated myself all morning... :bang:

most recent info i could find (12-2-12), which is basically no update at all

http://www.dailynews.com/lakers/ci_2211 ... -play-trip

The Lakers have remained anxious for Steve Nash's return.

But they will have to wait some more.

In a brief interview with this newspaper after the Lakers' 113-103 loss Sunday to the Orlando Magic, Nash said the non-displaced fracture in his left leg hasn't healed enough for him to play in at least the Lakers' three-game trip this week. They have stops in Houston (Tuesday), New Orleans (Wednesday) and Oklahoma City (Friday). The Lakers then have a home game Sunday against Utah.

Nash said he plans to fly with the team to receive further treatment, but he hardly sounded optimistic about his return.

"Another 10 days to two weeks?" Nash wondered aloud. "That's a total guess. Since I can't run, I'm not going to play this week."

Nash has already missed 15 games, his longest span since 1999. He said he's not currently planned to take another MRI. Nash has participated in various agility and jogging drills in the past week, and shot jumpers during pregame warmups.

"The recovery time is getting better," Nash said. "But it's a small improvement."

According to Dave McMenamin, yesterday when all the players went to the movies to see Lincoln Nash fell asleep during part of it.

As far as his injury and any news there, nothing....

Quote from the article

Kobe told ESPN's Dave McMenamin that he was a little confused because it seemed like a few of his teammates (he didn't name names) didn't appear to know who Abraham Lincoln was. Specifically, he says they were shocked when Lincoln was assassinated:

I think that was MWP. I can just imagine his face, when Lincoln was assassinated. :man9: :man9:
