Matter of fact is, if we are supposed to win it all, it cannot happen with Steve Nash averaging 8ppg and 5 apg.

Nash has proven to be able to make everyone better.

The suns were almost Championship material with total garbage defenders. I would like to believe we can do better.

He had one of his best statistical seasons last year, and didn't make the playoffs. I know our personnel is loads better than the last season's Suns, but my point was that many people were advocating getting D'Antoni for the sole reason that he'd "let Steve be Steve", but at the same time kinda recognizing that Phil was the safer bet for a ring..
The team will look good, the offense will flow, but will this coach be able to lead them to a ring? That is the goal. I am very doubtful myself, but I will have D'Antoni's back until we've played a substantial amount of games; we'll see what happens.

i fully believe that if it weren't for a gashed nose and questionable suspensions, the suns would have won it all in 2007.

Nash is indeed free to be Nash again, but at the same time, he's going to be 39 this season, not sure he should be running an entire offense himself still and I hope his minutes don't go way up. I just hope 'Antoni adapts his offense some to run through multiple players, good ball movement still like we used to see from those Suns teams so Nash doesn't have to do it all.

Steve Nash (leg) is doubtful to play on Friday, and he suggested he could miss "another week or two."

Nash is recovering from a fractured fibula and the Lakers are wisely waiting until he's completely healed, but his outlook is bright with Mike D'Antoni inbound for the Lakers.

Another couple weeks here we go this is Karl Malone all over again. Nash misses at least 40 games this year book it. Guy almost got hurt twice in the preseason and the third time was the charm this is going to be one rough season for Steve, more injuries and longer heal times.

better at the beginning then at the end unlike Malone.

At the beginning of the season Nash was saying: "Yeah, it's a new system; we'll be good, I'll adapt, we'll figure it out."

But actually he thought: "please let me play basketball".

Well, now he can control the tempo and feed Pau, Kobe and Dwight non-stop. I would say they are slightly better then Diaw, Kurt Thomas, Amare, Raja etc.

slightly? Ummm, Dwight is ten times better than Amare..... Pau is not the best defender, but neither is Kurt or Fatty (Boris), and he is wayyyy better than these guys. Nash has a different team, but he can figure out ways to feed em the ball....

It hasn't even been two weeks, and this is an injury with a 1 month healing time. I'd say he's right on schedule. At his age, with slower healing times, I'd add another week on top for good measure.

Last thing you want is for him to come back too soon and re injure it.

Well with Nash out about 2 weeks...this is where D'Antoni can at least convince the naysayers to not storm the castle till the playoffs.

Ideally, you don't want a 38 year old Nash going 40+ a night. So this is where we can see how the offense will be run without the conductor. Lets see how he can manipulate his offense to this personnel. I never liked that an offense relies so heavily on one component...but when you don't even have youth and athleticism then the cracks begin to show.

He really can silence the critics if he shows that his offense is not so one-dimensional. Of course there is the other side of the ball and if McMillan comes aboard, I would like to see he too prove that his previous numbers were more based on lack of personnel rather than defensive philosophy.
