We have a Dwight Howard who's been dominant.

We got Malone..... he got hurt.... he underperformed because of the injury......

We got Nash..... he got hurt.........

Clear now?....

Yeah it was actually clear the first time what you were saying, but the comparison isn't there.

Even if Nash WAS hurt through the season, we're not dependent upon him. We have a system offense that will keep our other working pieces playing well anyway. Our 2004 team outside of Shaq/Kobe/Malone/Payton was pretty bad. Not to mention Payton was pretty damn bad as well.

Not to mention Kobe and Shaq not getting along. We have none of those chemistry issues. If you want to make the comparison, it'd be more like Gasol going down for the season and Nash playing the way he did the first two games throughout the year.

Your comparison doesn't work in my opinion.

Still confident in the bold part?

The Lakers have got to steal the Phoenix Suns training staff....

Nash and Grant Hill looked like they found the fountain of youth in Phoenix.
... Nash and Grant Hill leave Phoenix and are both suddenly on the injury list.....

It's not exclusive to athletes.. The climate in Arizona is just better for quick healing/general wellness.

I'm liking it so far..... been down here for 6 months off and on so far....

My creaky knees don't feel any better so I'm not sure it the weather...

Nash's injury was a fluke and if it happened when he was 23 he'd still be sidelined as long.... it's a fracture and those have a pretty specific time table

People don't seem to get Lakers trainers aren't Lakers doctors. Kobe loves Vitti, most do. They don't love the doctors if they have sense, that is why Kobe ended up innColarado in the first place, he went to an outside opinion because he didn't trust them. Malone trusted them and they may as well have ended his career. Same could be said for Mihm who his ankle screwed up on their watch

Dammit I want Nash back already :bang:

I'm worried now. Nerve pain? That's something that happens to people who have chemo. I don't like the sound of this at all.

I have a strange feeling that this injury of his would suddenly require surgery.

Unfortunately this isn't out of the realm of possibilities. Smaller fractures sometimes do not fully heal on their own. For the average person it isn't at issue and doesn't require surgical intervention but for an athlete it may.

Here's to hoping that isn't the case here.

He may be done for the season ... different body so different reaction but Big shot Rob said this past Wednesday he suffered the same injury at the end of his career and it took him ONE YEAR to be able to run without pain

Without Nash, we're cooked IMO. I don't think he'll be done for the season but if he is, man that's a huge loss...

This is frustrating! Nothing like a freak accident to keep this team from progressing.

John Ireland just said to his knowledge the injury Nash has takes 4-6 weeks to heal. When they left Staples center after the Brooklyn game he said Steve is still in pain and limping. A realistic date for Steve's return would be Christmas. Anything before that would be higly optitmistic and a bonus

And this is why I was advocating the Princeton offense so that we're self sufficient without Steve...having some versatility in offensive strategies is a good thing. Just putting the onus on Nash to run the team is a bad idea

Not even sure Nash coming back would help Pau's game. PnR....Pau doesn't like to roll and attack the basket.....more like Pick and Pop....but he's clanking everything. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:
