I don't know if I can take another season of this off again on again injury stuff. Send him back to Phoenix for Beasley and ShanWow, so he can retire a Sun.

(Frustration post)

Dragic & Scola.. Let's get 2/3 of that Houston package we should have taken for Pau :man1:

We definetely have more chances to upset the Spurs without Nash ... he made Parker look like the best PG of all time in every playoffs series they faced each other ... all of this while Nash was the MVP of the league :man10: ...

Nash ,if available, should play 15-20 min a game and chase Neal/De Colo

Anyone who thinks we are better off without Nash hasn't seen the past game against SAS.

As dominant Howard was in the first half, we had problems feeding him in the second half.

Even Pau's woeful shooting night was due to the fact that there wasn't anyone feeding him the ball.

Kobe usually fed him the ball, now that's gone Pau failed to create decent space for himself.

Nash can change that. He can feed Howard more and setup Pau to be more effective.

Parker (@ 100%), Lawson, Westbrook can't even guard themselves. Defending those guards will have to be a systematic and a concerted team effort.

We need Nash for the offense.

Really wish we would have him for the even more important game now against the Rockets on Wednesday. Darn.......

I agree team schemes have to be there when it comes to limit perimeter guys ... you won't stop the best PGs in the game with just one guy but individual D still counts a lot , Nash is just terrible in this aspect .

Add to this the fact that Lakers defensive schemes are quite a mystery and we are due for a disaster ...

Upsetting SAS would have more to do with Parker not being himself and their role players missing open shots than our own play... an ailing Parker would drop 20 on Nash while I think Blake could do a decent job ... 8 Mile can defend below average to average PGs , Nash can't

The trade for Nash seems to have been about him, his divorce, and his kids. That's nice and all for him, but I feel like he's getting the best of the Lakers. I was never high on the trade just because he was a 39yr old point guard. I don't know how you get overly excited for that. (Has there ever been a 39yr old point guard you'd be excited to have? Rhetorical.) The Lakers need to sure up their guard positions this summer, including getting Nash off the books. But MDA surely will lobby against that.

the trade made a lot of sense at the time. i thought it was a bigger coup than the howard deal, simply because the lakers didn't have to give up an allstar to get a very good starting pg.

then it exploded. i see no reason to believe nash can play consistently at a high level again. oh well, it was worth a shot. i think this roster may be dwight and 14 different faces come 2014.

Crikey. Really sad season from Nash. I bet he's not enjoying himself, but I also bet he comes back strong next season.

It's just about win-or-go-home time, and we don't have our staring PG, starting SG, backup PF/C.

No. But I think he'll be waived & stretched in 2014. RT @chase2433: is Steve Nash able to be amnestied?

oh come on steve!

i know he's a competitor and i can imagine how bad he feels missing these important games. but this last game is pretty much like a game 7! why not just come off the bench and play limited minutes?

that phoenix medical staff and their black magic never stops amusing me. no wonder nash was good for so long over there

Just play the minutes allotted to Duhon, who had 3 TOs in 3 mins against the Spurs.

Take his 9 million dollar salary and split it over the course of 2 years. I don't know if you can go longer than that or not.

I don't know if this is accurate at all, but if Nash were to retire, unless he waives his contract, we are still on the hook for his salary? I don't know if that's correct or not.
