Just you

Rooscooter wrote:^^oh I agree.... it's not like that yet.... but If I remember correctly Malone was originally out for a couple days.... then a week... then bam.....
Nash has a non-displaced fracture... not sure how severe it is but that doesn't sound like a week for some reason..... My hope is that he comes back AND it doesn't effect him.
We've already got Kobe hurt and Howard and Hill recovering while trying to learn to play together..... yet we can't seem to get together long enough to even start that process.....

Karl Malone had a torn mcl. That is a 6-12 month injury. Nashs injury is not anywhere near that serious

Rooscooter wrote:therealdeal wrote:Just you. The other guy we got in that was Payton. We don't have a Payton on this team.
We have a Dwight Howard who's been dominant.
We got Malone..... he got hurt.... he underperformed because of the injury......
We got Nash..... he got hurt.........
Clear now?....

Nash should be back before December unless something else came along with this injury, which I highly doubt, the way it looked. My biggest fear, as with Roo, is that he might underperform after the injury.

Is that why athletes miss entire seasons with torn mcls

Steve Nash (leg) traveled with the Lakers for Wednesday's game against the Jazz and will have his recovery timetable re-evaluated Saturday.
Mike Brown said the Lakers brought Nash along so he could have access to the training staff, but noted his status could change any day. This is encouraging news for Nash owners. The point guard's return timeline seems to be shrinking by the day and it's possible Nash could be back sooner rather than later. Nov 7 - 3:19 PM
without ELBOW....

Don't you worry. Mike will find the way to make Morris our backup SG.

WTF. Did I miss something here? Why are we talking about torn MCL's in this thread? Too lazy to read the preceding pages.

lol thinking about it, i can see how that would be concerning coming into a thread about nash's leg injury only to read two people discussing the recovery time for a MCL tear
