well that does keep meeks on the bench, and help its production since mike refuses to play jamison. And morris could help take opposing point guards off of steves hands defensively. But morris better make his open shots!!!

Morris is starting. :freak2:

WUT?!
Whyyyy

That doesn't make sense even if Nash wasn't coming back.. Duhon has been starting for a while now, and anyone with eyes can see Morris is among the worst and most inconsistent PGs in the league

Morris is not even close to one of the worst point guards in the league what the hell are you watching?

That's the gist of what MD said in why he wants to start Morris. He wants Morris on Curry and said he likes his speed. I agree with everything he said but like u said he's had got to hit his open shots. Good thing though is that if he isn't hitting the shots MD will have no problem putting Meeks in quickly.

:man3: :freak2: :disagree:

I get wanting to keep Steve fresh and not expose him to fast guards etc., but he will still have to chase Thompson all night through a ton of screens etc.

What about making other teams matchup against us????

I don't get why MDA can't adjust even a little and demonstrate some intelligence.

Run the team as it is set up, and mix starters with bench guys off the bench, esp when Blake is back. Keep guys in their natural positions for the most part, but just adjust and tweak with the following:

Nash, Blake, Morris
Kobe, Meeks, Morris
Ron, Kobe, Jamison
Gasol, Jamison, Hill
Dwight, Hill, Gasol

To waste a pure energy and hustle guy like Hill, and a vet like Jamison, makes no sense to me at all. We will wear Nash, Kobe, Ron, and Gasol out by March with an 8 man rotation. MDA -- adapt and adjust - you moron.

THE RETURN OF THE NASHTY :jam2:
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

This team is a lot better with Nash. Now we know. Playmaking, steals, clutch shots, 3-pointers. Amazing. Played 40 minutes. Wow, just wow.

He did great tonight, as great as we could have hoped. Hit shots when he had to, controlled the ball well, gathered his usual complement of assists. His defense wasn't good and he had a few unforced errors and turnovers too many, but I still had a sense of confidence seeing him on the floor.

Steve Nash looked great. He had a low scoring game, but controlled the game very well. He stays in control, has amazing handles. He got us like 4 alley oops tonight. It was just great seeing him out there. He is going to make a huge difference. Gasol seriously has to attack that hoop harder when he gets the ball from Nash on that pick and roll.

Wow what a difference maker.. It was evident the entire game but especially so down the stretch.. A few clutch shots + getting Kobe the best looks he's been seeing all season in those situations off the P&R with Dwight.. We're a completely different team.. Can't wait to see how we stack up against the Knicks.

The 'hidden' perk about Nash is that he is an incredibly good shooter and even though you're not likely to see him take 10+ shots on any given night, the simple fact that you can reliably count on him to hit a shot pretty much whenever you need it should prove to be invaluable. It was tonight, that is for sure. It's something the Lakers have sorely sorely needed.

This man's efficiency is off the charts. In fact he's so efficient from the field that Bryant's numbers from tonight look twice as bad.

Dude misses 25 games, comes back, and nails clutch shots while handing out nearly the most assists of any Laker all season. Beast.

What can you say, guy sits out 24 games, comes back and looks like he never left. Clutch shots, good passes, even solid defense I thought. He's a leader, guys love to play with him, he might not save our team, but he'll lift it up at least a little.

my only complaint about his game tonight was that he didn't have the ball more in his hands.

he's clearly the best decision maker on the team, and i can't wait till he gets in full swing and this team figures out how to play with one another.
