His defense has been pathetic. His 4th Q defense has been surprisingly good. In the Golden State comeback I dont remember anyone scoring on him, the Clippers game I dont remember Barnes or Bledsoe taking it to him, last night he forced Parker into 3-4 bad shots/turnovers. But for the 1st 3Q my goodness just really really really horrible. One on one, on pick and roll , in transition and in closeouts.

That's really good. He could try to shoot even more, because he really hits most of his shots.

Yeah he really could. I wouldn't mind seeing him get his shots per game up to somewhere nearer to 13-14 than where it is now.

He tries though and he's so good offensively he's the one guy I am willing to give a pass.

Kobe on the other hand looks more explosive than ever, but barely tries at all. That is unacceptable to me

Only thing I'm really dissapointing with Nash is he still defers to Kobe for these ridiculous iso shots down the stretch ... whoever this decision comes from , this is a terrible one ..

I do notice that as well with Nash and the worst thing is that it happens in the most critical of possessions as well. I'd guess that's PART of the reason we haven't fared well to close games it seems like this season.

Another thing is that Nash hardly ever gets to the line. He used to average like what 3-4 trips per game?

we all knew his D would be horrible from the start

considering he's almost 40 years old and coming off a pretty bad knee injury, i'm the least bit shocked by it

It was only a matter of time before Nash starts getting the blame...ridiculous, the man is 38 & he is playing to the best of his abilities.

Nash is hurting the team by not looking to shoot more. He doesn't even get a chance to get into any rythm because he almost never takes a shot in consecutive possessions.

But it's obvious he gets overwhlmed sometimes by the taller, younger and faster guards in this league on both ends at times.

Not in his nature. He rather take the sure thing shot to go in... I saw it many times in PHX last year, too. He took like, 5 shots and that scrub Phoenix team would light up the scoreboard. He's the type of guy that can make a large impact on a game without taking a single shot.

At the same time, if the team lacks offense and you have the ability to score, you need to pick up the slack. That's what CP3 does. Give the team what it needs based on how the game is going. I understand Nash can't break down a defense like Pal at 38 but he's got to pick it up offensively given the scrubs on this team or he's hurting the team.

Nash is a passer, he shoots the ball with excellent efficiency but does not shoot it often. He is who he is & who he always has been.

OKC was collasping on Nash and Kobe ...

I'm in the " Nash should shoot more" camp ... but with D12 out and a bunch of scrubs on the floor , Nash is getting way more attention from the opponent D ...

He's a good step slower and it looks like he couldn't create his shot at the rare moments he wanted to though

might have found something with jamison in the okc game. looked like whatever they were doing was working as jamison cut to the hoop. if we keep doing that with them both but have nash attack more then the d wont know what to do.
