Stop Complaining

Stop Complaining

You young Lakers fans need to stop complaining. Lakers always will rebound they always have and always will. No team wins all the time and there are a lot of contributing factors to why the Lakers aren't a good team. First ask yourself this question, if you weren't a homer fan like some of you are would you want to play for this franchise in the condition that it's in? You have an aging star who's injured this year and will definitely retire in two years. You have a great owner who's just died. You have siblings who are fighting who should be in control. You have a son who does not have any of the accomplishments his father had, whom was a genius. You have a coach who's never won an NBA finals and is unwilling to change. You have a team who for the past 3 years has had some very serious injuries especially the past two years.

If you're a star player who has the ability to lead a team to the finals, would you come to this mess? It takes a special player to want to be the one to bring about change, No one thought that Kobe would be the player he's become, but he's always shown a special mentality and mindset. That for sure aint LeBron, or Melo, and KD isn't coming.

Um. OK.

So your point is... No one is coming so shut up? OK coolio.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Seriously. The first sentence seems like it belongs in the counter argument to the rest of your post.

I use to remember during the 2009 and 2010 season when the Lakers lost to a lousy team or back to back games, people would starting writing about how certain players needed to retire, how the Lakers didnt do enough to get the right players and how people were losing steps.

The next time you create a thread, have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the readers.

all I see here is the tea pot staring down the kettle......

I think there is reason to be concerned but to make absolutes out of them flies in the face of reality.... on both sides....no success is guaranteed by past success nor is one failure a precursor to inevitable failure.

I think father Buss was successful because he wasn't scared to change in order to achieve...... maybe the kid will have some of that in him too. If you look at it rationally there has to be a bit of a fall for new success to bloom in professional sports and most times in life in general..... I personally side on concern...mainly because of my skepticism on his knowledge and love of the game being up to the task. I don't think you can out think your way past key elements that separate great franchises in sports and just good ones from time to time...

but time will tell....have to let the process take its course and see what happens but that doesn't mean you shouldn't voice concern amongst others and get shared opinions...
