Summer League / Camp Players Discussion: CDR, Selby

It's probably lame, but it's just nice to see any team representing the Lakers winning, creating any winning culture at all. :man10: Last season was so freaking depressing, our summer league team was awful, going winless in preseason, getting destroyed by the Spurs. This is meaningless, but it's been a little fun at the same time.

nice we're in the quarters :jam2: :man10:

good to see defense was what kept them in it and allowed them to win it. do we have kurt rambis' aura to thank for this?

Carrying on in the tradition of both Lakers centers nicknamed Superman. Ouch!! Well good for Sac. Not really the men from Krypton's fault. They're just too strong to shoot that silly bouncing ball.

Nice win for the summer league team but now we face the Warriors who I believe are the top seeded team.

I'm disappointed in Selby. What happened to him?? He was the CO MVP last year, and now this. He's sucked. I don't think we'll give him a training camp invite. Freakin Lester Hudson has been putplaying him for christs sakes. He was my guy heading into the summer league. He's done nothing but disappoint me, time and time again.

Nobody on the summer team will be on an NBA roster. Not worth the NBA min salary.
All time Lakers team: Magic, Kobe, West, Worthy and Chamberlain.

Can't say I agree with you there. Some of these players will definitely get camp invites whether it's from us or another team. Hudson, Harris, CDR all have a decent chance to make a roster. Also, Sacre is already on the Lakers roster so you're incorrect. :man1:

Does this guy have any game at all at small or power forward? Any D? Any offense? Anything?? Missed much of the games and don't recall anything about him.

Asking anyone, just quoting JSM for Emplay's article.

He's a hard worker. Not very skilled. Some athleticism, but mostly just hard work. Reminds me an Amundson maybe with a little more talent. Not really great at anything.

Yeah, for me this is the best summer league team we've had in a long time, the first time I can name 3 or 4 guys that deserve to be in training camp for a while. I would say a least one of Landry, Hudson, CDR, and Harris have a shot to make our roster, or at least some NBA roster. Before this season I'd say the majority of our summer league players/camp invites aside from draft picks, were pretty much garbage.

I like Hudson's poise and NBA size, I like CDR's all around NBA game, I like Harris shooting ability, and I just plain like Landry. He's not a kid, he knows what's asked of a player in his position at this point in his basketball career, I think he'd be a good 3rd string SF for a few teams.
