Most signings we make for camp are just camp fodder, but wasn't this guy like actually a decent NBA player? I remember liking his game quite a bit whenever I saw him play, kinda even wishing we could get him as a backup, now I wonder if he could actually make the team.

I thought he would be better than he was. Turns out he's about as average as they come. He could provide some SF/SG depth though.

Camp fodder until further notice.

Doubt he's making the team but he's def got a shot.

good defender, plays the SF/SG can hit shots.

Last season I had hoped we really signed him,.. not sure if it's too late ?

Whoa totally forgot about CDR ... he used to be a solid player ... what happened to him?

Not a bad signing at all ... he's gonna have a tough time making the team though.

He played in Italy last year because of the lockout, hopefully we got a little steal here.....

2009/2010 - 26 mins......10pts / 3 boards / 1 assist / 1 steal.....45% FG.....26% 3's
2010/2011 - 20 mins......7 pts / 2 boards / 1 assist / 1 steal.....43% FG......33% 3's

He had a detached retina in preseason before the 2010/2011 season.

So is it a camp invite or is he on our roster?

Either way I'm on board with this. He's fully capable of playing back-up 2, spot minutes at 3. He has basic guard skills, but bottom line he just tries hard. I think he'll be great on this team.

Maybe this means minutes at PG for Meeks?

^ think more like minutes behind Metta at the 3.

The more I think about it the more I like it. I'd rather have him than Morris and Goudelock. He could give us some Ebanks insurance too.

I've always wanted to sign CD-R, He's shown flashes of potential in the past.

He has god-awful mechanics on his jump shot though... Lazy release, and no lift. His dribbling is also cringe worthy.

Crazy athletic. Hes a taller version of Shannon Brown. But we gave someone like that a shot last year (Gerald Green) and that didn't go so well

From the looks of it, we're going to stash him away on the D-fenders and possibly bring him up at a later date...but I doubt it.

Dave McMenamin: Chris Douglas-Roberts was a surprise to see today. The Lakers signed him to a training camp contract, w/ hope he will play for the D-Fenders

Interesting pickup....at 6' 7" provides some size for SG/SF off the bench. Yeah I would think some of the small guys need to be concerned. For those that don't remember he was Derrick Rose's running mate at Memphis and came into the league with some potential upside. He was improving his second year on an awful NJ team so I think he could surprise.

WOW totally forgot about this dude. He was actually pretty good for the Nets when he played for them....He could provide some solid depth at the back up 3 spot...esp if Ebanks ends up sucking. CDR is pretty young still, so I like the signing. I know people are saying he's just training camp fodder but real talk, he could end up making the team. He's pretty good.

I knew the name sounded familiar, I just couldn't place it. He could be a nice pickup, and it would be nice to have another backup SF behind Ebanks in case things don't work out or if injuries occur.
