Jermaine O'neal

Postby KaliCin on Thu Mar 15, 2012 2:23 pm

I don't think he will help but here is one
http://boston.sbnation.com/boston-celtics/2012/3/15/2874459/nba-trade-rumors-2012-boston-celtics-trade-rumors-jermaine-oneal-miami-heat

Jermaine O'Neal wants a contract buyout from the Boston Celtics and has interest in signing with the Miami Heat, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, but the Celtics are still trying to use his expiring contract as part of a package deal as the NBA trade deadline approaches.

It's unclear whether O'Neal will even be able to play the remainder of the season. The center has not played since Feb. 20 due to a wrist injury that has affected him since last season, and was considering season-ending surgery as recently as a couple weeks ago.

But if he can play, asking for a contract buyout makes a little sense. The 33-year old signed with the Celtics prior to last season in hopes of winning a championship. Now that the Celtics no longer seem like contenders, it's natural that he would want to move elsewhere to continue chasing a ring.

Fisher cannot come back here if he's bought out, new CBA rule, I wouldn't want him back anyway. You're pretty much going to just get a lot of Arenas responses, not really anything else out there.

Ideally, we need a SG off the bench that can score.

Hopefully Arenas, no matter what we need a shooter.

Sessions/Blake
Kobe/Arenas
Metta/Barnes
Gasol/Murphy
Bynum/Hill

Not bad..

we lost 2 shooters in Kapono and fisher (even though they sucked this year), and we gained no shooters today.

so hopefully Goudelocks will come through and Arenas can be that guy.

Sessions shooting 41% from 3 point this year and its not like Kapono's 30 seconds per game he played is going to be missed.

I think people are too in love with Arenas's name. Last we saw him he was D-U-N. Maybe he's feeling better physically these days, but I'd rather give Goudelock those minutes personally. The guy might hit the rookie wall soon, but for now I like what he brings in those 8-10 minutes per game.

Dumb question, but do teams who have no chance of making the playoffs normally buy out the contracts of players with high contracts? Maybe we can get a solid player that way? Fill me in on how that works please.

Boris Diaw

Boris Diaw: Bobcats will discuss a Diaw buyout
Boris Diaw - F/C - CHA - Mar. 15 - 4:49 pm et

Bobcats GM Rod Higgins said a Boris Diaw buyout will be discussed in the next few days.
The Bobcats were predictably unable to find a trade partner, but that doesn't change the fact that coach Paul Silas has seen enough of Diaw. If a buyout can be reached, the Spurs and Knicks are rumored to be interested. Diaw would land as a backup in both spots. Mar. 15 - 4:49 pm et

Max and Marcellus ESPN Radio just said there is some additional announcement coming in 15 minutes. Didn't say what it was.
Vitti uttered three words that surely applies to how Bryant made two free throws on one leg, walked off the court on his own and processed his rehabilitation plan amid the pain, frustration and tears.

“That’s really cool.”

hes shooting 41% but only attempting 1.5 3's per game this season... .4 attempts for his career.

Nah, Max and Brian left like an hour ago, it's Mason and Ireland now. If you're listening online your stream might be hours behind, mine did that a few minutes ago, jumped like 3 hours back for some reason.

Or his 29.6% from 3, which he was only brought to do, in those 30 seconds per game.

Kobe/Glock is better. The team will have to spend for that 15th spot, I doubt they fill it.
