Morris has certainly dropped off over the last few games, i agree and clearly stated that. In terms of D, he has brought great hustle and energy to the PG position. Gambling on D happens.

I said Morris 'can' shoot the ball. I didn't say he had been shooting well during this latest stretch

Fantastic game from Duhon. 10 assists.

The bonus is that it also allows Kobe to play off ball again and just attack.

The downside? Morris has to play with the 2nd unit which means he we can't hide his lack of pg skills with Kobe.

Duhon prepping the rest of the team for when Nash gets back? Solid game overall. I personally think he should've been starting a long time ago.

He better be the freaking backup when Nash comes back. There is no reason for Blake to get the job over him, it takes Blake a week to get 10 assists.

Steve Blake has never had a double digit assist game as a Laker....

Steve Blake has never had this many assists in two games combined as Duhon does (17) as a Laker....

Dare I say, Mitch might have found another reliable player as a throw in, in a trade? We'll see how he plays for a couple of weeks before you can pass judgement on that. So far so good.

Good passing, good defense, doesn't dribble in circles and doesn't step on spike strips.

His and Jordan Hill's trade value are at an all time high right now lol

^^ Agreed. Duhon has looked good since pre-season - certainly the best of our backup PG committee. I always liked the guy and was one of the posters pushing to get him a few years ago. I thought he might be done after seeing him waste away in Orlando, but he seems rejuvenated here and is playing well. We'll need him now that Blake is out for a couple months with surgery and recovery.

Duhon is certainly capable of filling that backup PG role for us when Nash returns. He should definitely play over Morris. Although Morris could and should get some burn on Friday night against Westbrook. I can see Morris getting minutes in special cases where his D is really needed.

0 turnovers for a PG who played that many minutes and handled the rock that much......that's really hard to do.

Well he had his best year with MDA in Phoenix so it isn't surprising to me that he's playing the way he is. While I don't expect him to constantly have these type of games, as long as he can come in for Nash get the ball in good spots and hit the open three he'll be just fine.

cant ask more from him...he got torched by westbrook but cant blame him for that...
but i wish he made some of those 3s in the first half...he was basicly non factor in the first half...

Yeah but that's not fair. Duhon would NEVER have gotten double digits in assists in Mike Brown's slow-it-down, give-it-to-Kobe-and-get-out-of-the-way offense.
