Lets give him props on the positives that he brings to this ball club.... .. :jam2:

He actually has a better record than Mike Brown this year.. If the Lakers get it together, I credit him.. ..

I can only think of 2 things that are positive

1. classic Movember

2. He'll get out of Nash's way once he's back so we can see what we really have on our hands. The Lakers success will be directly proportional to how Nash gets the bigs involved and into the games early and often. MDA will get out of the way and we'll see if the 2 big advantage truly can exist once a true floor general gets the keys, something that this team has been missing for a long, long time now but was covered up by the triple post offense Jackson deployed .

I find it comical how people think having Phil would make that much of a difference. Do people conviently just forgetPhil last's team? Very similar to this team. Just old, slow, and not good enough. Some of us including myself just vastly overrated the talent on the team. Chuck said it best last night they just aren't that talented. Kobe and Dwight are a two man wrecking crew essentially. No one else is consistent. Phil wouldn't have done any better than MDT has.

so, you think we're going to run and gun all day, and leave basiaclly pau gasol useless and not utilize some sort of half court double post offense?

you think hes going to run gasol, ron, and kobe to the ground with the huge minutes in the regular season at their age?

no one else is consistent? what jamison is basically regulated to the perimeter, how many times does he get to post? basically as much as gasol has. how consistent are you going to be being regulated on the perimeter?

we didnt overrate the talent on the team. we know what we get with meeks he has done fine, much better than what? blake being our back up sg?

duhon has over achieved, hill has done fine we got what we expect from him.

morris and ebanks was a mistake, and no way a phil ran team would of kept those two. only mike dumb brown would cut CDR, DJO, and Glock over these guys.

phils last team? did we have this record? did we go virtually 0-12 till our first win (including the preseason), would he play players out of their position and their comfort zone?

im not sure how you compare this team being utterly misused that has a horrible, horrible record, compared to phils last team that hardly had this horrible of a record.

we didnt do good back then, but not close to how bad we're doing now.

and now your listening to advices from chuck? the one that said kobe has lost a step since 06? the one that said in every year that we won, that we werent good enough? when he said lebron was the best in those years and he said they were going to take it all?

Well.. this is an interesting thread... I think what's the most confisuing about it is the timing :man10:

The one and only good thing I've seen him do with this team is free the players a bit. I mean goodness imagine if we still had Brown's micromanaging style. Meeks would hardly be playing and Kobe would be playing even more minutes.

it's simple, yes he would have done better

that 10-11 team was just tired. they were coming off back to back title wins and fell flat against a mavs team that was making every shot. they were gassed. the system dan tony uses is just so wrong for this team and it's downright disgusting how phil was passed over for the job, and how it all went down

Does Phil Jackson have to come up in every single D'Antoni thread? C'mon people stay focused.

I'd appreciate it if he resigned and backed out of his contract so the Lakers don't have to pay him, but that's just wishful thinking.

It's just hard to give D'Antoni any appreciation with all these losses. If you have to rely so much on Steve Nash to get wins, it's just disappointing. It's arguable that Mike didn't have the greatest players/rosters (minus the Nash years) in the past decade, but you shouldn't be below .500 with this group of guys.

Criticize him...but at the same time at least anyone who been watching Laker losing streak out there would sense that he actually gives a _____ about winning. I mean yeah he might be flawed and ignorant to not have tweaked his offense a bit...or only to spend "half hour on defense"...but i get a sense he really wants to win and he's trying to get his guys on the same page, just that his players aren't really buying into him yet. Hopefully when Steve comes back and we start winning, togetherness will form in a sense.

I guess this was created with good intentions, but it's already not appreciation posts. We already have an active D'Antoni discussion thread. Feel free to post your "appreciation" there:
