We can go 15-67, and I'll still be flashing my Kobe jersey. :jam2: :jam2: :jam2:

Hurts like hell, but the purple & gold is a part of me, rooting for them isn't something I can just get rid of....

I'm just waiting for the light to go off. When it does they''ll be in the 6-8 spot in the West. LET'S GO!!! (who would've thought we would be happy with a lower seeding in the playoffs. :jam2: :jam2: :jam2:) HAHA

I didn't know this; but looking at the Lakers salary, who we are committed to and the length, I expect them to move a lot of pieces this summer. The onle players that we are obviously commited too are Nash, Kobe, and Dwight; I do think we keep Meeks & Hill. Other then that, Pau, Blake, Metta, Duhon, Jamison (who might retire), Clark, Ebanks, Morris, and Sacre all could possible be gone.

Now do I think they'll get rid of all of those players? Nope. But we should start to get rid of some of that deadweight by Feb and start building some depth for next season. I think this season is gone, IMO. However, with the right moves made in the offseason, we can contend next season, with a full training camp, Dwight hopefully resigned, and with quality NBA depth that we sorely need...

we can pass the Jazz and Timberwolves i think in time good for 9th seed. Trailblazers and Rockets are gunna be tougher. Portland would have to hit a losing streak for us to have a chance to catch them or pass and get 8th seed. once there i feel we can hold it and maybe pass the rockets for 7th seed. it just depends on how healthy we are and how we play defense. dwight is a huge part of that but also pau. pau needs to come back and play hard he cant be a little b any more and doesnt have hill or dwight behind him to pick up his slack.

if he doesnt perform when he comes back which should be before dwight than he knows hes gone.

Ah yes I remember the Randy Pfund days. Stuck with them then, sticking with them now, although this is the most disappointed I've been about a season thus far.

There's going to be an amazing trade and all pieces will "click" and we'll have several long winning streaks to get into the playoffs.

Well, if Dwight is still happy and upbeat despite our struggles, it's a good indication that he'll probably re-sign with us even if we miss the playoffs.

i'm pretty sure he's just saying he's happy so things don't become even more messy than they already are in LA

it would shock me even more if he stayed than if he bolted right away, which is what i expect him to do

puffyusaf#2 says the Lakers season turns around starting tonight........ Yup he said it. Yes he is posting in 3rd person because twitter said thats what cool kids do. We are taking the 6th spot in the playoffs and then its on...... Puffy says BOOK IT.

How's that for some optimism?
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

We're playing the Cavs. No Varajao. We have to get a win sometime. Now would be a good start.

I'm still optimistic in this team on-paper and I think that next season if the team is largely the same(meaning, Kobe, Dwight, Nash, Ron + Meeks, Hill, Clark and Sacre at least) and if they are healthy, it is still a team to be excited about.

For the shorter term. Lakers *should* win tonight, and honestly, I think they will put together some sort of streak eventually, doubtful it'd be enough to change the season, they'll still probably miss the Playoffs, but at the very least, they might find a way to make it look more respectable in the bigger picture.

37 points for our bench tonight. Nice to see.

Dwight's back and he's looking good. Earl Clark continues to perform at a solid level.
