The Optimistic Thread! (TRD's FREEDOM THREAD!)

Kobe is optimistic.

If he was down, frustrated, and angry after last nights loss then I would be a little worried.

4-1 in our last 5. Should have won all 5, big win without D12.

If we continue with this 3:1 win/loss ratio, we will be in good shape.

for the most part, i like how our bench and role players have been coming along in this recent stretch.

My optimism: We are learning how to "win" again. These team had lost all ideas of how to win games. Yes, they blew the 28 point lead but everyone knows most huge leads early go away. This Lakers team 1 month ago would of collapsed and we would tried to rely on Kobe to shoot us into the game. Last game I think we lost when Dwight went down and it sucked the wind out of our sails. This game we dealt with it and got the win. My optimism is increasing but I'll admit this win was only a tiny jump forward.

^Yep. We're getting better. Slowly but surly. The question is, do we have enough time to figure it out so that we can have the "swagger" and confidence to be champions this season? Hard to say at this point. Just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Yeah despite the blown big leads, at least we're HAVING big leads for once in this tumultuous season. So that's something to take away and build upon.

My thoughts as well. Before when it is a close contest...they get confused and who is supposed to assert themselves other than 24. To top it off, others not 24 aren't sure how 24 would react.

Nah...THAT team would not have even been in the game or remain within reasonable striking distance only to wither away eventually to lose big.

We won a game on the road. That will hopefully do wonders for us mentally. We even won without Dwight. As ugly as it may have been, it's a small hurdle that we needed to be overcome; now, that 1 is out of the way we can salvage the rest of this roadtrip and may have a winning record when it's all said & done.

Oh, yeah. After the Rockets play the Bobcats tonight, they have to play Golden State & Miami. They might lose 1 if not both; we could pickup a game or two...

Somewhat optimism: Losing these big leads might signal that the team's just getting bored and slacking off at the end. Bodes well for games against better teams, I guess.
