i have no problem bring the 2009 guys back
i wud definitely add a Bigman to anchor the defense and some reliever for kobe
And the signings and flexibility makes me so optimistic

Okay, being a hater is generally weak, but since your logic uses an exception for hating based on rivalries, then how could you not, as a Lakers fan, hate on the Heat? Are you not aware of the Kobe/LeBron rivalry? How LeBron was praised as the GOAT before even winning a championship, while Kobe has always been seen as a selfish gunner who never accomplished anything without a dominant big man. I get the purpose of your post, but there's a reason why Lakers fans hate Miami.
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

^ Unfortunately so can I. :man10:

If we stay healthy we'll make the playoffs. I just don't see it happening.

Either way there's optimism though.
1. We do poorly and we end up with a high draft pick and the Lakers build around him with some FAs.
2. We do relatively well and we attract some high caliber FAs to play with Kobe for one or two runs before he retires.

Itll be fun for us as fans I think if we bring back odom and sasha in addition to this farmar signing. If its gonna be a crap year we might as well get the band back together.
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

This is the first day of the offseason I've felt optimistic, and it's for one big reason. Signing Farmar pretty much guaranteed we will never see Morris in a Lakers uniform again. :jam2:

^ Not if we get rid of Blake. :man10:

But I am optimistic that we can at least have a fun season, if not a successful one.

Damn you real, bringing me down from my Morris gone forever high in your own optimism thread. I refuse to believe we bring him back, if we trade Blake maybe we sign Bobby Brown, anyone but Morris.

Sorry Weez. :man10:

I think Morris is a last option, that's why we didn't extend a QO to him. I think we try to go in another direction first.

^ Who knows? I don't think they signed Farmar for crap minutes. I think he has a significant role.

But with Blake on the roster, I'm not sure how that'd work. Unless they plan on moving Blake to SG, it doesn't make much sense. And if they DO move Blake to SG, then they'll have to have another PG/SG, right?

Morris is very much in the mix. :man10:

Sorry fellas. Just got to be honest, though right? Who knows. Maybe they don't plan on playing Farmar much?

I happen to think that they'd like to move on from Morris. I think they'd rather go in another direction depending on who they can get and for how much. But if none of that works out, they'll settle for Morris again.

I can't see them going through the trouble of buying Farmar out of his overseas contract to not play him much. At least I hope not, he's backup PG material, not 3rd string, rot on the bench Morris material.

Say that's true.

Then what do we do with Blake? Are we comfortable with Meeks playing heavy minutes?

Sadly I can see Blake being our SG. Brown played him there before, 'Antoni has played him there, I can see it happening. I'd prefer to see him traded or amnestied over Metta though. Traded for a pick, traded for a cheap SF so we can then amnesty Metta, bring in Sasha at SG, I don't know, just throwin stuff out there.

I agree. Which leads us to the horrifying conclusion...

We need a 3rd string PG. :man10:

Alright! Alright! Cocaine brownies! :man10: I may be the only one that gets this reference, but I can't hear the name Bobby Brown without picturing this. I don't know how anyone can watch this and not crack up
