If nothing else, tonight we ought to see a team that feels free and is having a little fun out there.

I agree but I wouldn't expect anything special from tonight's game. The team hasn't even had a practice session without Brown. The shock of the news might prove a distraction. I doubt they look rejuvenated all of the sudden; that might happen after we get our definitive head coach.

EDIT: BTW, shouldn't you be posting in pictures? :man10: :man1:

obviously there's no guarantee they'll win...but personally i think their chances of winning are at least improved without mike brown on the bench tonight than with him lol

Just read that on the MB thread, it's cool
This should be pretty hilarious :man10:

Hey maybe the team plays a little bit more freely tonight without worrying about the Princeton system. Hopefully they play their game.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, Brown is gone, that's a huge reason for optimism. I don't expect an immediate turnaround, but I do expect some of our guys to look a little more energized and free tonight. I know they say what they have to say publicly about Brown, but I have to believe behind the scenes the players were sick of him, didn't respect him, and probably wanted him gone. So optimistically, it can only get better from here, certainly can't get worse.

Mike Brown was not the right man for the job. He is a wonderful man, and I felt horrible seeing the picture of him at the Chik-Fil-A...Poor guy, what a humiliating experience....I really feel for him.
The End is nigh. Time for a total Cut and Shuffle. Kobe contract was a mistake...time to avoid making more. The future is here, whether we want it to be or not. An era is over, but for the death rattle, and it's time for the cycle to begin anew. Growth and change are scary and painful, but alas...nothing worth achieving comes easily.

He's banking 11 Mil so it isn't all bad from a financial standpoint. Brown from all accounts was well liked but he overdid and overanalyzed things. The running joke among the team was he was "All Day, Every Day"... Instead of letting his team play to its talents Brown chose to handcuff them to fit his schemes. It was well intentioned but was a poor fit. He is now saddled with the infamy of not being able to properly harness two talented rosters that included James and Bryant.

Yep... :man3: It eerily reminds me of the Paul Westhead incident albeit they even had a winning record at time of his firing.

With so much riding on this season...

I think a lot of us fans wanted change, but didn't fully expect it to happen THIS soon.

Uncharted territory, but I think we'll get the right coach in here. Especially after hearing that they've consulted the players and so forth, to help in determining who the successor should be.

Holy cow, we have less TOs than GS at halftime. And we're up by 9. We've even taken more shots than them. :man4:

Our bench by the way, doesn't suck. And it was damn good to see that tonight.

Our bench scored 37 points.

Go ahead and read that again. It's true.

Our team tonight should show you why we should be optimistic. This team is so talented it's scary. This Golden State isn't a terrible team. They just beat the Clippers a few days ago. We put them so far in their place...

Our coach emphasized two things: defense and rebounding. We shut them down and we boxed out all night long. This was exactly what I was hoping they'd do. The fun is back in LA.

The team was clearly happy Brown is gone. And no real, our bench doesn't suck, it just wasn't being used right like we all knew. That was just a fun game, it wasn't pretty, we missed a ton of open shots, they played pickup game style basketball, but it was actually fun for a change, I wasn't constantly cursing out Mike Brown.
