Your right it does seem like a repeat of last year. Last year the Lakers got in this bad habit of giving teams hope and letting them believe they could beat them. As any general knows the worst thing you could do in war is give the enemy hope that they could win. I use the war metaphor because that is how this Lakers organization has traditionally viewed the playoffs, from West to Magic, all champions know that the best way to beat your opponents is to try your best to destroy them on the court. I saw that mentality from the Lakers in Game 1, but Game 2 and 3 prove that bad habits are hard to break once they start. I want to see the Lakers get back to the mentality they had in the 2001 championship run, remember Kobe would say at every press conference that his intention was to go out there and "cut the heart out of the other team". Thats the attitude they need to have if they really want a 4-peat. Hopefully, one of these days they will be so embarrassed by the other team that they will find there way back to that...
