Congrats emplay, very cool news. As others have said, now there's at least one good writer covering the Lakers at the Times, as opposed to the others, who seemingly don't even like the Lakers.

I think Bresnahan is pretty good. Ding over at the Register is still my favorite Lakers beat writer though.

Yes, he is good, I just kind of forget he's there because I avoid the times due to those other clowns. I'm an OC Register reader, Ding and Miller are my favorites. But, now that emplay is at the times the number of good Laker writers there at least matches the number of terrible ones.

Eric, will you be doing something similar to what the K brothers have been doing? It seems to have worked out really well for them, and they have been a solid Lakers blog team.

as far as what I'll be doing and how specifically - I can't truly know til I get into the position and dig in. I have ideas - but I probably listen a lot first and then gradually give it my stamp. We'll see . . . I look forward to figuring it out.
