Lakers Might Fit the 'Glove'

The new name with Laker management is Gary Payton, who is most definitely not a power forward, but is a free agent, and represents the range of off-season philosophies for a franchise still measuring the magnitude of its recent playoff failure.

The Lakers hope to rework their roster with a combination of their mid-level salary-cap exception (about $4.7 million), the lower exceptions (the highest of which is $1.4 million), trades and draft picks (Nos. 24 and 32).

Trust me Payton is a greedy guy.He likes to be on his own.He likes being the star of the team.And plus I definently cant see him wanting to grap on the coatails of former champs.The man hates being on the back burner.

And trust me there are so many places for that man to go in the league.I think LA is one of the teams on the bottem of his list.

I don't want Malone, I don't want Payton and I am prepared to resort to acts of self sacrifice to prevent Scottie Pippen from coming to LA.

The answer for a team that was too old and too slow is not to get older and slower but younger and faster. If we get Jason Terry, Theo Ratliff and Juwan Howard to replace Kareem Rush, Mark Madsen and Robert Horry we are in business and we are YOUNGER and FASTER and CERTAINLY BETTER.
