I could see that. Play Jamison with Dwight to stretch the floor, then use Pau as center and P&R with him etc. Maybe use Metta at the 4 here and there, and park him in the corner... or use Hill with Pau to crash the boards and play defense. Lots of possibilities. Pau can adapt to many different styles of basketball.

In any case we're better and deeper then those PHX teams.

I'm looking at Utah and they probably want to free Kanter and Favors. Both Al Jefferson and Millsap are expirings. I would try to go with bringing Millsap and MoWill for Pau and some of our young guards or Sacre. Utah has enough cap to take on Pau and they're not necessarily a key destination for free agency.

Mo is a bomber and can get to the cup. He expires and we can reup him if he wants. Millsap is not a stretch four, but he has a motor, crashes the boards and does have a jumper for pick n pops.

We have been waiting for Pau to get out of this funk for two years now, hoping that we would see the aggressive pau from our championship run. That Pau is long gone.

If we can get something of value we need to do it ASAP.

I keep harping on this, but this is why its really lame for management to keep saying D'Antoni's system fits this team. Either Pau has to be your pick n pop guy (but Dwight is who doesn't have a jumper by the way) or he needs to be your stretch four to give space for PnR action.

I have a hard time seeing how D'Antoni can make pick up the pace if both Dwight and Pau are out there at the same time. Basically you have to make a 19M guy coming off the bench.

I don't think JSmith is the answer and I really don't think ATL will even do that trade. You had Ferry literally laugh it off once they came to him that Magic mentioned the trade scenario on TV.

I really would look to Utah. They have so much cap open up this summer, but FAs don't really go there. Kanter and Favors need more minutes and Al Jeff and Millsap having expiring Ks.

Kanter next to Pau or favors next to Pau would look good for Utah. Millsap would make alot of sense for D'Antoni's system cause h has a jumper and you don't have to really run a play for the guy. He's got a motor on him and that compliments an uptempo game.

i don't think they want to take on the additional year of pau's contract. I really like milsap, but Jefferson is really uninspiring.

utah will likely want the cap space to re-sign some of it's own guys. they'll also need a true PG, and especially with mo williams being a FA

^^Agreed, I'm just banking on FAs really not wanting to go to Utah.

But its going to hard to trade Pau this year...really really hard cause his contract has 2 year left with roughly 20M per...the super tax kicks in this summer, so already most of the smaller market teams will want no part of his contract.

You can try to sell it as an expiring to get back long contracts that other teams don't want...but that's next year.

there's only a few teams i can imagine taking him on, and it all involves taking a terrible contract in return (chicago for instance).

doesn't denver need a low post threat? they have more than enough depth to move a couple pieces for pau.
