I really like Elias's attitude and story, but he is a bit too much of a tweener to make it at the next level IMHO. It is unfortunate, but having the wrong type of body or skillset combinations is the #1 reason why otherwise gifted players never stick at the NBA level.
I would say the #2 reason is mental discipline. Most players either A. Lack the faith in themselves, or the sheer determination, to overcome adversity when they hit the wall at the professional level, or B. Lack the self control, emotional maturity or work ethic to develop into a reliable asset for professional organizations. Sticking in the pro game is NOT predicated on talent alone.
Dwight WHO??? Good riddance. Rumblings of Carmelo (and others surely to follow) combined with visions of 3 or 4 more years watching Mamba going Vino next to a crop of young athletic ballers makes the precious blinding light at the end of the tunnel glare off of my newly minted shiny happiness!!! #redemption 4 Swaggy P, Pau, Nash, Wes Johnson, Farmar and Lakers as a team and FA destination!
