6 game-winning shots. No question IMO. Many "elite" players haven't recorded 6 game winning shots in their careers, and Kobe did it in ONE season.
Don't get me wrong, the dunk on Wallace was EPIC. First the crossover and then a MONSTROUS dunk over one of (if not THE) league's best defenders and stronger guys. It was very much a statement of "arrival", and it was insane.
BUT, 6 game-winners in one season is just the superior "moment" IMO.. 6 plays, some of them very incredible, that won games for the team, that solidifyied (?) our record and got us the 1st seed in the West and gave us homecourt advantage, which turned out to be HUGE for our title run. Kobe showed once again why he was THE guy in crunch time.. Didn't matter if he was blistering hot or awfully cold, when it was time to take the last shot, the shot that decided the game, you just knew the Mamba had it.
3 of the 6 were buzzer beaters, and 3 of the 6 were 3pt shots. Insane stretch.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.
