It seems the sarcasm of my post got lost..... :man1:

Great moments from Kobe that aren't scoring or dunk related for me are some of his defensive performances that go unnoticed most of the time. His first 4 games against Jordan for example...... or in the playoffs against Pippen. The 6 last second winning shots is a great example. As for the scoring ones..... the 62 in 3 quarters while outscoring Dallas by 2 points is still the most impressive thing I've ever seen...

Sorry it's hard to get sarcasm through text sometimes. :man10:

Yeah, I mean there were other things that I thought could have also qualified like those things. It's harder to find video evidence of that though you know? Something I take a lot of pride in with this is being able to watch the video of it.

Maybe I should try to get the help of Chook or someone with a lot of video available.

Kobes 81, probably the best game played statistically, in NBA history. That has to stand for something.

Wow I really would have thought Kobe's All-Star Game win in LA would put up more votes. The dunk on Ben Wallace lost in a landslide, but his dunk on Howard is winning... interesting.

In what was quite frankly an upset, #19 Kobe's Dunk on Dwight Howard beat out #25 Kobe's All-Star MVP in LA by a score of 13-11.

The next matchup is a pretty damn tough one. We're pitting #28 Kobe's Alley Oop to Shaq against the Blazers vs #1 Kobe's Incredibly Tough Shots to Clinch the Division vs. the Blazers in 2004. This one should be good!

Oh man this is tough.
I voted 2 clutch shots vs Portland, basically because to this day I've yet to see anything similar in terms of degree of difficulty in the clutch. Those shots were flat out jaw dropping. The first one was just so Kobe in the sense only he could try that shot and then make it. The second one was just epic, buzzer-beating, literally falling away, over a defender, 3pt shot to win it and clinch the division. Wow.

Now, that alley oop with Shaq is one of my favorite moments of the decade as a Laker fan. The game itself was INSANE, and that moment was like the apex of that crazy, epic comeback win over Portland. Kobe crosses over Pippen, lobs it, and there goes the BEAST and dunks it. The Lakers one-two punch combined for an amazing pure moment in which every battle between them was put aside. HUGE play.

The only reason I went with the 2 clutch shots is that the lob to Shaq wasn't all Kobe, Shaq had to get up there and throw it down, whereas the two 3s were pure Kobe, doing it by himself, in historic fashion, closing out a crazy season with even crazier shots.

What's difficult is to me the two represent two different things.

That alley-oop was the beginning of the Kobe/Shaq era that ushered in the 3rd team ever to win 3 Championships in a row in NBA history and the first since the Jordan-led Bulls from 94-96. Kobe and Shaq made quite possibly the greatest 1-2 punch in the history of the NBA and definitely one of the greatest inside-out combinations ever. It was an absolutely epic moment in Laker history.

The two shots in the clutch represented Kobe's ascendence to the top to me. When he hit those shots all I could think of was this is Kobe's time. Even amidst all the turmoil, that moment to me was Kobe's breakthrough. Those two shots were so representative of Kobe and his career.

What's difficult is that Kobe was an integral part of both moments. Both represented something amazing in Kobe's career. Very tough choice here.

Kobe's 2 Incredibly tough shots gets my vote for sure.

I have never seen a more dominant finish, "clutch" wise than that those 2 shots. Not only where they in your face tough but Kobe hit both of those shots over the so-called Kobe stopper (Ruben Patterson). Then, of course there the fact that he did it up in Portland where they hate our guts and where we've frankly always had troubling winning. Lastly, that finish won us the Pacific Division after the Kings lost to the Warriors minutes before our game ended.

This this was a vote for greatest Lakers moments, then yes I would probably vote for the iconic Kobe-Shaq Alley-oop. But this is a Kobe's greatest moments and o did he ever shine there!

I will always remember those shots. Especially the first one. It was so ridiculous. I willalso remember the Shaq alley-oop, but I feel that is a more shared moment between Kobe and Shaq and probably an even bigger Shaq moment. Those Kobe shots define Kobe in a way. Taking and making some of the toughest shots you will see in the clutch to win a very crucial game

Two tough choices, both got me jumping out of my chair hollerin' but I had to go with the alley-oop, I felt that was the perfect culmination to an amazing run that sent us to the finals at long last. True it involved both Shaq and Kobe, but Kobe started it off by making the pass. It's up there as my favorite Laker/Kobe moment.

Really? Pitting my two favorite Kobe moments against one another? Lol, anywho the two shots were more of a Kobe moment, and the alleyoop was shared, but I still gotta vote the lob to Shaq--pretty much catapulted us to three championships when all seemed lost just minutes earlier.

As far as Kobe's moments go... those two clutch shots get my vote.

Tough choice but the two clutch shots in 2004 get my vote, those shots were so incredible and amazing, one of the toughest buzzer butter ever I see.

I have to go with Kobe clutch shots because it's a "Kobe Moment" and the opp to Shaq is more of a Laker moment to me. I hold them both in high regard but I look at them differently.

2 clutch shots. Cause those shots, both shots, should be considered cheating. A flaw in the matrix. :man10:

I pick the division winning shots. Obviously the team wasn't performing to expectations, those shots carried the team's momentum into the play-offs. The oop to Shaq was when the Lakers already took control of the game, it was just icing to an incredible comeback which was more team than Kobe. This is about Kobe's moments and nothing can top, for me, those incredible well defended shots. One of those in one game would be unbelievable and a great moment by itself but two? Just ridiculous.
