Vote your favorite Kobe Moment! pg 2 for updates! (3 vs 24)

I had to go with #16. #14 was a loss against those guys and a very painful game to watch considering the outcome and us going down 3-2. I remember at the time psychologically preparing myself for the worst. Fortunately things turned around in our favor at home but at the time things were bleak. So 16 wins by default for me.

I have to go with 56 against the Grizz by default. I have a hard time picking a great performance in a lost.

Number 16 ... the 2nd half ( the 3rd quarter in particular) of Game 5 was a terrible moment to live as a Lakers fan ... our D was so bad , with so little intensity like it was a meaningless regular season game... Kobe scoring explosion was wasted as the lead margin for Boston barely decreased during that period

That game was sheer torture. Thank god we won the next two games. No one showed up in that game. Kobe was basically by himself in that game.

In short that game was suicide inducing.

Are you guys voting against #14 because of the outcome of the game instead of the performance of Kobe? Because remember, this was in the Finals and Kobe was making incredible shot after incredible shot... I feel like the deserves respect.

Well the outcome is the point isn't it?

For example in game 6 in 2006 Kobe was brilliant and scored 50 but we lost on a Tim Thomas 3. What do we remember? The pain of losing that game. That is all I remember from game 5. That makes it a horrible moment but fortunately we did win the series unlike in 2006. I can't vote for something that conjures up negative emotions.

For a matchup that sparked some conversation, we had a low vote turnout. In an underwhelming victory of 6-4, #16 Kobe's 56 Points vs. Pau and the Grizzlies beat #14 Kobe's Game 5 vs. the Celtics in 2010.

In the LAST matchup for the first round I give you #3 Kobe's Game 7 vs. the Celtics 2010 (Chasing the ball down) vs. #24 Kobe's All-Star Game MVP in his hometown Philadelphia.

Here's the side-by-side video comparison:
#3 Kobe's Game 7 vs. the Celtics 2010 (Chasing the ball down)
#24 Kobe Wins the All-Star Game MVP in Philadelphia

PLEASE VOTE! And remember to come talk about your pick! Thanks!

Game 7... I cringe hearing Bryant being booed by the classless Philly crowd.

Chasing down the ball

Arm in the air

Even dribbling it after time runs out

That moment just gives me chills.

Game 7 2010 Finals. For as bad as Kobe shot, he gave everything he had in every other area of the game to make up for it.

I don't know if this is true, it's total speculation, but I feel like when Kobe struggles shooting he'll often have more rebounds than normal.

Someone voted for the All-Star game. Do you want to talk about why? That's what this thread is all about.

+1
Tough shooting night, not anywhere near to feeling 100% (knee issues especially), down 13 in the 3rd, all overcome by a great team effort. The effective shooting might not have been there, but the intensity, relentlessness, the hard work on D, crashing the boards, making a couple of VERY CLUTCH free throws (pretty much championship-clinching) were all everpresent.
Fifth championship, against those guys and millions of obstacles since the beginning of the season. All the hard work put in payed off, the goal, achieved.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

Game 7 because of momentous thrill and just how much effort when into that Playoff series and game. It had to be one of if not the most rewarding Kobe has had in his is career.

I went with All star game. I felt the finals game was more about the team effort with especially Ron shining when we needed him most and Fisher hitting a big shot. All star game was more about individual performance and a young Kobe was exciting to watch. And that was a nice crossover on Kidd. Oh and winning MVP is a nice response to getting booed in your hometown.
