Not to be hypocritial, but that man is soooo guilty! Had that booster not died, C.Webb would be wait for a jail sentence :mad1: :mad1:

Hopefully, if Kobe is charged, he will be able to do the same thing!
The additions of Payton and Malone will bring the Lakers back to having talent like they did during the Showtime Era... maybe they can win another championship like the one Magic is holding.

Thats a totally different situation. The girl accusing Kobe probably isn't going to die anytie soon. Besides C.Webb is guilty as hell. Kobe is innocent! Period.

Heck no, I don't want Kobe pleading nothing. Even if he is charged, it does not mean he is guilty. Besides, most legal experts don't think Kobe has much of a chance of getting convicted anyway. The process has been screwy surrounding the case and his lawyers are astounding.

CWebb Guilty

Postby 2BContN2004 on Mon Jul 14, 2003 1:47 pm

Man, CWebb is such a BS'er. He was on Sacramento Radio last year saying he was completely innocent. If he was so innocent, why did he plead guilty today? The Sacramento Media (that is pretty much just the sacramento bee :man9: ) was talking about the govt. not having a case against him. Even this morning on AM radio they were talking about how it was just a waste of taxpayers' money!!

The story is not dead yet, I don't recall a court decision being made (such as whether it is felony or misdemeanor...see article). The only thing dead in Sacramento is Webber's knee and their championship hopes. The window of opportunity has come...and gone. Maybe if you Sac. fans wait around another 40 years for the next Big O, you'll have yourselves a championship. Until then...

Man there is so much animosity and angry stress in Sac fans these days...They have probably came to realize that their best shot at a championship was tossed out in 2002 when the Lakers took care of business in Game 7, in Cow-town, in over-time. They know that this year, we won't be soo gratious to give them an over-time. Their championship dreams are actually out-of-time.

This will be the Kings to the Lakers this year::bow:  "We're not worthy, We're not worthy".

Sac Town is just bitter about the Lakers getting the Glove and the MailMan. Both have always given them problems. At one time last year, there were alot of Kings fans wanting to trade Bibby for Payton. Payton tears them up ALL THE TIME!!

Get ready Kings fans, it's over!!

Sure Sac fans are bitter, and they do have anger at the Lakers, cuz their team was supposed to win in 02 cuz they had the deeper bench, and the best chances at a championship that season. Little did they know is that would be their closest chances at a championship, where we eliminated them in game 7 at Arco, in overtime. How much more do we gotta say?? Their championship hopes have just went down the tube. With Webber losin his knee, and his off court dilemma, it'll prolly effect him just as much as the 02 wcf series.

But if Webber was innocent then he wouldn't plead guilty. I understand that he doesnt want time, but the point is is that bargans can be made in the legal system, so whats the point of convicting someone when there's ways out of time in prison? This isn't right, if he's innocent.

I don't mean to be hars, but can any of you read? Web plead guilty to contempt of court. This was in regards to missing a court date over a year ago. The charges of perjury were droped... that was the deal. The Feds knew he would fight and win the Pejury charges and his attorneys knew they would have a hard time beating the contempt charges... when you fail to show up judges tend to notice. So yes Webber is criminal, convicted of failing to apear before the judge... Oh my I guess Sac will have to trade him off to Portland!

Relax kids... it's going to be alright

Honestly though, and I'm not a Kings fan by any means, Just because CWebb plead guilty to a lesser charge doesn't mean anything. He probably spoke to his lawyers who advised him that this would be better for him. If he plead's guilty to the lesser charge than he would pay a fine and get no jail time. Done deal. If, however, he goes to trial and is found guilty of the larger crime of taking all that money than he could be facing a few years in prison. It was in Chris' best interest to saty out of prison at all costs. Even if it meant he had to plead guilty to stay out. Now I'm not saying the guy is innocent, I'm just laying it out for you. The fact that his lawyers thought that he could possibly do time makes me wonder.
