Bazemore signs with Hawks (p. 12)

Re: Welcome the Killer B's: Bazemore and Brooks!

Bazemore definitely has talent, but he's also a young buck looking to get paid. It's just the truth.

He's not going to have the LA pride that Swaggy and Farmar carry coming from here, he'll pretty much represent anywhere he goes.

I'm going to start calling him Kent CryBaby. Does he have to cry and complain after everything?

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA 4h

Lakers unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore is expected to draw interest from the Hawks, Celtics and Suns among others, per sources.

Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina 30s

I'm told MarShon Brooks is only definitive Lakers free agent not returning. Everyone else has chance depending on who else is available

I would have liked to have seen more of Bazemore, he's cheap and I loved his defensive effort. Oh well I guess. Brooks, forgot we even had him.

This is what happens when you get playing time on a team as publicized as the Lakers....

I didn't see anything special in either. Baze had a few good games and showed some speed but the sample size was really small and MDA's system has made fools gold out of a lot of guards. He's replaceable.

Brooks has more physical talent but the Laloosh noodle.....

Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina 5s

Kent Bazemore contacted by Dallas, Atlanta & Boston, including Celtics' Brad Stevens. Have not heard from Lakers, per league source

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA 17s

The Atlanta Hawks were first team to call unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore after midnight, per source. ATL really likes the Lakers FA.

DAMN.

He got that much attention on the first day? He's as good as gone... So much for Bazemore coming back.

^ Like Roo said, if you're a young guard and are a soon to be FA, it's hard to find a better place to make a name for yourself than LA, especially in a MDA system.

Atlanta will offer him a contract he can't refuse and he'll accept it since it's the closest city to his hometown

Los Angeles Lakers have reached out to Kent Bazemore, his agent tells me. The Celtics, Mavericks and Hawks have also shown interest as well.

Ditto. Really liked Braze's length and athleticism. Brooks just sucks.

I get the feeling Brooks must have attitude problems because it's not a matter of him not being able to play the game on an NBA level. I think he must just kill team chemistry or something and that's why no one seems too interested in him.

Actually, he just sucks. He has no game. He took the league by surprise a bit as a rookie as the league didn't know his game but once it adjusted, it exposed the guy for what he is. Not much iso skills.

Yeah he's got NBA talent to be at least a bench player, but just watching him in his short time in LA... man it looked like he couldn't be bothered on the court. Even when he was trying hard occasionally, it seemed like he didn't want to be there.

Very weird attitude.

Maybe MarShon would be best served playing overseas where he can be the man and jack up as many shots as he likes.
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

There is always room for a guy like Braze in the NBA. Long and very athletic. Every team loves that.
