I was pretty shocked he came onto our court like that. Who acts like that the first day on a new job? :man10:

I'm thinking/hoping it was mostly him really wanting to shove it in the Celtics face, wanting the ball to the point of frustration I mean. He clearly wanted to show them they should have given him a chance, he said as much in his post game interview.

Speaking of Killer B's, if Bazemore reminded me of anyone, it was a little bit of Shannon Brown.

Mitch will eventually face a jail sentence with the kind of deals he executes every season.

Walton for Sessions is still the biggest highway robbery.

BUT LOL at going back to the Killer B's thing again, is this round 2 or 3 now and will it last longer than the previous sets of Killer B's?

He just had a real attitude on the court. Sometimes that was a good thing, sometimes he looked like a jack***. He didn't always play hard. He was visibly frustrated when he didn't touch the ball.

But I'm with Weezy for now. I hope it was just his first game here against his old team and he wanted to show them he deserved a shot.

Hell of a game for our new guys, played with a lot of energy.
But i don't expect them to play at all once Swaggy and Xavier are back, Bazemore will MAYBE get some minutes, but just maybe, Brooks is out of rotation definitely.
It will be interesting to see what will happen in summer, try to get them for cheap $, just in case of these freaking injuries.

I dozed through some of the game. Happens a lot this year, but didn't see what you're describing. Not cool if this is who he is. That would be like the opposite of Xavier Henry's persona on court.

Well don't get me wrong. Later in the game he was diving on the floor, pressing the ball up the court, and despite his reputation he was playing pretty good defense. It was just kind of an off-and-on thing. That's why I'm willing to brush it off against his old team. BUT I think it's something to take note of and remember.

The new guys seized their opportunity. Not sure about Brooks mental stability..... He was a little over the top at times. He's able to score and played on both ends hard. Blaze was good as well.

I didn't see the frustration either. I recorded it, so I'll go back and take a look (after I grade these 180 papers - so never).

Fisher and Odom?

Marshall, Henry, and Kaman (ambidextrous) could all have given that look. :man1:

I hope we can sign Bazemore on the cheap at backup 2.

I like his size and reach for defense, and he's a good athletic wing .

I like Blazemore because he looked pretty solid on defense. We have a better version of Brooks in Swaggy but there could be room for Blaze if he continues to put in effort on the defensive end as well as if he leaks out in transition and continues to finish.

It's a bit early to talk keeping either of these guys IMO. I would like to see Bazemore continue to get time and see if he can keep up that defense, that was the most interesting thing to me about him. The shots he hit and couple nice offensive plays he made were a bonus, the defense was the highlight, we rarely get to see it here anymore. This was like a career high all around for Bazemore though and not something he's ever done regularly, so I'm not gonna get ahead of myself, but I did love the effort, now keep it up.

I've watched him while on GS, and he's always a high effort, energy guy like Jordan Hill.

He's young, only in his 2nd year, and his size is what I like. 6'5 with a 7 foot wingspan usually makes for good defenders.

I completely agree. Let's not get too emotional about these players yet I mean I was up out of my seat during our run in the 4th quarter the other night really cheering these new guys on, but let's see what kind of consistency they have over these last 27 games. I do think overall that if I had to choose between Brooks or Bazemore to stay on the team with everything I know about them even before their Lakers debut I would keep Bazemore with no hestitation. Fantastic locker room guy and bring it on the defensive end.

Anyone see after the game against the Celtics was over and Bazemore was still on the court. He was walking down the high fiving all the courtside fans and their kids. Really cool to see. Hopefully both guys can keep it up.

I agree with all this. I like what I see from Bazemore; nice guy, loves to play the game, big defensive potential while not being a total scrub on offense. But let him play some more before making hasty decisions. If he does well, yeah - I'm all for signing him cheap as a dedicated win defender off the bench. If he pans out... him, Farmar, Young and Henry can really make things interesting off the bench. This pretty much moves Young to the 3 permanently, but he probably does not mind that at all. That's his natural position.
