He doesn't have the expectations or pressure of that he had with other organizations. He will be asked to defend, hit the open jumper, and that's it. At least, that's all I will look for from him; He can improve other aspects to his game and become a better player, but right now, he needs to concentrate on getting is FG% up both from 2 pt land and 3 point range, and become a more consistent defender, IMO. If he does those things consistently, I'll be happy.
I tend to agree with this and the above post ^ too.
He's the one with the most UNREALIZED potential from our signings. I'm not sure Young and Farmar have a ton more room to grow in their games. I suppose both could become better NBA level defenders and Young should rebound a little more than he does.
But Wesley still can develop his jump shot more, can learn when to rebound most effectively, and can really grow into one of the league's better perimeter defenders. He has all the tools for that, he just hasn't put it all together.
I'm not sure what we'll see out of him this season, but I've been hoping we could get him for years. I'm really excited about this and I'm really hoping he does well. Both for himself and for us.
