I don't think he can pass like Bird though.

It's just that with D' Antoni he's a tougher fit here than he would be with a more traditional coach. He doesn't have the body type for a 4 - too slight. And he sure as HELL isn't a D' Antoni stretch 4 with his inconsistent shot. But I like him a lot. He's got nice athleticism and has really picked up his defense (looked really lost earlier in pre-season). I think he'll contribute.

It's a little bit of a quandary with Wes/Henry because in a more traditional situation it would be clear that they would probably go with Johnson as the starting 3. And for the reasons you brought up earlier this year - he could move off ball, cut down the lane and get feeds from Nash or Pau. But D' Antoni isn't going for that seemingly. I guess we'll see. Henry needs the ball in his hands a little more, but his ability to drive and kick or attack and finish is really making him the stronger candidate. And of course Johnson's length is a plus at the 3 for defense. Then again, Henry is as strong as an axe and doesn't give anything up in terms of physicality which is a plus. You could see Henry bodying up against some of the bigger, stronger threes and Johnson against the lankier threes.
