What happened w/ G. Arenas??

I know this may have been a long shot, but what ever happened w/ the rumor of interest to Gilbert Arenas?? I honestly believe Arenas would be a better bet vs. Payton, only because of the fact that he's younger and has a longer time span of playing. I got much love for the Glove, but don't you guys think we should be thinking more towards longevity?? Arenas would last alot longer than Payton would, and is also still on the uprise of improving his game.
