What Should Kobe Bryant's Statue Look Like?

I had to make you guys experience this too. Lol when I read that article, it made me immediately think about his great career and appreciate the things he's done. Things like the 6 game winners in 2010. outscoring dallas by himself through 3 quarters 62 - 61. Scoring 61 at msg, scoring 81, four consecutive 50+ point games, etc. Its just crazy. He may not be able to do these things anymore, but he's done things in his prime that players like lebron or durant can't dream of doing in theirs. And people already writing him off, saying him and his team is too old to win a championship, especially not with D'Antoni, and trying to dig his grave. I hope he proves them all wrong. And if he does, and gets #6, he'll be the greatest player of all time in my book.

if its #24 than definitely his patented fadeaway. if its #8 than the 81 point game finger because its so iconic.

granted his statue will not be put up until long after he retires...i think think they should incorporate both somehow. like one big statue with 2 kobes. both were huuuuge parts of this organization and both show different parts of his career which are equally amazing.

if i had to put money on it it would be the fadeaway...but it would be cool to somehow artistically do both. like the 81 finger in the lefy background and fadeaway in the front right? idk but that would be really cool imo

Fadeaway all the way... While 81 was unbelievable, it was one game. Kobe accomplished unbelievable every game with the crazy shots he took.

I think since Nash is a 2-time MVP and soon to be multiple Champion it would be nice for him to have a statue in front of Staples.... SO I say Kobe dunking on Nash :man9:
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

That finger point is legendary, but if we go with 24 do the fade away.

I dont think it should be the fadeaway because thats already associated with another player, MJ. The 81 finger is something only kobe has done, unique to him and one legendary night. Just looking at it woukd give people chills as they walk by. Him shooting a fadeaway is a little benign in comparison imo.

Caps statue is unique to his legacy. Kobes should be too.

Isn't Jordan known for the one arm extended dunk? You know the one that's on his Jordan brand clothing line. :man3:

He's known for a lot of things. There were 20 different poses they could have chose for mj, just like kobe. I think he should have one identifiable with only him.

So many great pics in this thread.. I'm going with the fadeaway that real and the Rock posted.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

That isn't really a fadaway that Kobe is doing when he hit that game winner against the Heat and over Wade in my opinion.

If Nash gets a statue, it should be him dunking on Kobe. :man13:

Well, whatever they do for Kobe, I'm sure it's not going to be this one:
