A) Gary Payton, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen , Kevin Mchale, and Hakeem Olajuwon all at prime.

B) Magic Johnson, AI, Elgin Baylor, Kevin Garnett, Bill Russell, all at their prime.

C) John Stockton, TMAC, DR. J, Karl Malone, and Shaquille Oneal, all at their prime.

D) Jerry West, Kobe Bryant, Dominique Wilkins, Tim Duncan, and Wilt all at their prime.

Which of these teams is the best and Why?
Remember to think of any conflicts that may arise, and who may not play well with whom.

Personally I know who'd I chose lets see yours.

Tough choices,

I have to go with:

1. D
2. C
3. A
4. B

I'm looking at the individual position matchups when I look at it>

Thats my order of preference. Its close though from number to number!!!!
Nice poll and question, L-brain!!!!!

damn, How could you have MAGIC playing ball with a Celtic and how did you miss BIRD?.... LOL

man those are good squads:
If I had to take one.... All the Gaurds and Forwards all are even and or cancels each other out. In terms of center, WILT and RUSSEL have never seen the likes of SHAQ. In SHAQ's prime (still is) he is too wide/massive and strong. The DREAM can testify but he did get the best of SHAQ but back then SHAQ was just developing into his own. A lean mean SHAQ can just about dominate any center in history including WILT.

I'd have to ultimately pick team "C"

D) Jerry West, Kobe Bryant, Dominique Wilkins, Tim Duncan, and Wilt all at their prime.

Man, two reasons. Wilt and Duncan, you can't stop both of them, and it's hard enough to stop one. With West and Bryant at the backcourt, that can cause trouble, and add Wilkins in the mix and you've got supreme post play, and incredible outside play...

Man that would be awesome...

I take D, but C has Shaq, my list is:

E)

PG: Clyde "The Glide" Drexler
SG: Michael "Air" Jordan
SF: Kobe "Captain Amazing" Bryant
PF: Charles " The Round Mound of Rebound" Barkley
C: Shaquille "The Diesel" O'neal

That is the absolute most talented (all around) and unbeatable group one could ever put together...

Laker brains pick

Postby Laker brain on Tue Jun 03, 2003 10:56 pm

My choice is C, because you have Stocton and Malone at their prime and they knew each other well at their prime, TMAC is not at his prime yet.
And Shaquille would kill any of those Centers at his Prime, and Doctor J at his prime had leadership. I think this talented group would out do the other three. ONE REASON - SHAQUILLE

Also, his team has everything

Playmaker, Intelligence-Stockton (would find open man)
All-Around/Scorer- TMAC (Good Rebounder for SG)
Athletism All-around, Leadership- Dr. J
Strenghth and Hard Worker- Karl Malone (Easy put back points, Big Body)
Dominance and Power-Shaq (Bigger Body, Scorer, Go to guy)

Note: classic pick and roll by Stockton and Shaquille (Scary thought)

i totally agree. C is my answer. it's impossible to stop shaq when he was younger and in shape. even though kobe might become the next "great one", shaq is the MDE and you can't deny that from him. remember, no one has even THOUGHT of mentioning a "Shaq-stopper."

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.
