You can't take a fraction of a shot. You either shot it or you didn't. Anything >.5 is rounded up and anything <.5 is rounded down.

The problem with Bynum saying he can see how his growth has been stunted is that he's never played without Kobe to speak from the benefit of experience.

The statement may even end up being true, granted he'd get more shots on a team sans Kobe but to say it without playing a game without him other than the rare times Kobe was injured, comes across as a jab.

Personally I think that if Drew had got all that extra attention his knees would have failed him harder and more often. For all he knows at this point, Kobe preserved him. At least, that's another way to look at it without the benefit of actual experience of playing without Kobe.

He can talk whatever he wants to talk, Im certainly glad he's no longer on our team and we have Howard. The injury situation and uncertainty were just too much. Hes not even available a lot of times when we gotta play so thats a huge negative lifted off our team. Stephen A and Skip had a discussion regarding his injuries and I 100% agree with them, his knee condition isn't avoidable but he can do a better job of taking care of himself and he hasn't done that.

Otherwise, what you're saying is that fractions of a shot, if the fraction is big enough, is a shot. If you're going to round up .5 to a full shot then you're basically saying one CAN take a fraction of a shot.

Dude it's an average. Over the course of the season if someone is shooting 14.9 FGA a game, then they are shooting closer to 15 shots a game than 14 right?

They've taken 15 shots a game more than they have 14 shots a game to get that number where it is at.

He shot the ball 15x or more in 53 games that season. For a majority of the season, D12 played with a guy that took 15 shots a game.

Yeah I agree it is closer, but it's not quite a full shot though. At any rate, I wasn't the one arguing. All I said was that D12 has never played with anyone who takes more than 14 shots per game. Greater than 14 in a world where you cannot take a partial shot, would be greater than or equal to 15.

In any rate, you guys are the one dissecting that. If you want to, we can, but if you don't, then by all means don't! We're splitting hairs at this point anyway.

Bottom line is that I'm not sure why people are expecting Bynum to say that Dwight should adjust to getting more shots with Kobe since that wouldn't make any sense.

As for the .4 Mod..... I remember from the OC Basketball thread that there were a couple pretty short mods.... so it's not inconceivable to have .4 of a mod.....
