Who's our enforcer?

Who's our enforcer?

Postby Barnstable on Sun Oct 27, 2013 12:53 am

It was pretty clear before that Ron was the guy that would stand up for any teammate that was being pushed around or if an opposing player was trying to be a tough guy, Ron would shut him up quick.

Who is that guy on this team? I know no one would be on Meta World Peace's level for that, but I honestly don't see anyone that stands out. Kobe would be that guy that stands up for teammates, except he's not crazy enough to throw blows like you just know Meta is.

So who's our enforcer?

Steve Blake is about it but in his weight class he can only stick up for himself. We're screwed in that department unless Caveman has any kind of nasty streak, but kinda doubt it.

The only person that was crazy enough to go toe to toe with Ron......

Shawne Williams.

Kaman and Blake coming in next.

I always thought Rick Fox should be on the Laker payroll to instill that mindset.
I remember a play, when after a hard foul on Kobe, a mere 15 seconds later, he knocked over the opponent's best player. That is what I'm talking 'bout.

Wow. That is right up there with seeing a cop car's flashing lights behind you in the rear view mirror as a crappy sight. Ron Artest in your face with his hand around your throat. :man10: :man4:

Or this..... the extended, enhanced, director's cut of what an enforcer, or simple tough guy on your team, is capable of doing:

HA!! I remember that. I was so happy Fox did that. I miss him and Fish, and the guys that would knock you on your a** if you messed with anyone on the team.

Probably Williams and Hill like someone else mentioned. We'll find out soon enough.

The good thing if there is one in this issue is we have Kurt would-have-killed-McHale-if-someone-hadn't-pushed-him-to-trip-and-fall Rambis and Mark Mad Dog Madsen working with these guys in every which way you can think of....believe it. And the toughest of all of them Kobe when he comes back. Maybe not one guy is a monster, but collectively if you bleep with us it's on. Farmar's no shrinking violet either. (I think :man10: )

Our enforces are Steve Nash and Pau Gasol. :man9:

We don't have one, but that's alright. Neither does Miami really. Or San Antonio. Or Denver. Or the Clippers.

Well sorta with Miami. Don't forget they have "cheap shot" D Whistle always a risk to your team on the court.

Who needs an enforcer when you have a caveman?

Kaman has played some tough ball in the past and is a throwback in a number of ways..... He's the modern day whopper

Those are enforcers now? If that's all it takes to be an enforcer, then Hill and Kaman are ours.

Oh okay. In that case it's most likely Kaman. The dude might not be a great ball player anymore, but he's still 7 feet tall and regularly murders animals for food. He's got that mountain man crazy in him.
