I like the D'Antoni and offense, McMillan on defense option they're talking about on ESPN radio.
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

Via Financial Advisor Magazine:
“In a last-minute development, actor Alan Alda will replace famed basketball coach Phil Jackson as the keynote speaker on the closing day of the annual Schwab Advisor Services IMPACT conference in Chicago next week, according to Bernie Clark, executive vice president, national sales manager of Schwab Advisor Services.”

Michael Vicks brothers, the Quarterback. Not an ESPN type source but if you run into Phil Jackson at an airport, you're gonna tweet that [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.].

Not just him, but plenty of people are saying that Phil is at Staples right now.
Ryan Ward ‏@Lakers_Examiner
Phil Jackson was at the Lakers facility today, but according to @RamonaShelburne it was only a coincidence. #ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmmm #Lakers

Lenard Gorokhov ‏@lenardizag
Phil Jackson is currently at the Lakers facility talking to management and walking around.

Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard
Obviously, LA must hire Phil Jackson, who still lives in LA, if he wants it. No brainer!

Phil J. ‏@Philpapi
RT @BlkSportsOnline: BSO: Report: Phil Jackson Allegedly at Lakers Facility http://bit.ly/PKnG8J

obviously not reliable sources, but theres a chance right?

So Dwight has thrown in his chips for Jax now:

http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/11/09 ... l-jackson/

You know Kobe and Pau are for it too. Here comes the triangle again, I hope Phil will want to run some of the P&R options the tri makes use of for Nash and Dwight. I wonder if he would can Jordan to bring in a triangle guy like Hamblen. Maybe he can pull Cleamons out of China and/or bring in Rambis.

Aside from Phil being spotted and removing himself from future engagements...

-6 game home stand against lesser talent (aside from Spurs) coming up over a span of 11 days with 1st road game coming in Sacramento (this explains why Mike was fired now)
-Center is the easiest position to learn in the triangle (Howard has no experience there)
-Blake, Kobe, Metta, Gasol are the rest of the immediate projected starters and all have triangle experience
-Nash is sitting out and can learn the nuances as a viewer on the bench and in practice as he gets back
-Triangle is predicated off movement like the Princeton and the players have had exposure to this type of offense

Way too many coincidences and capable reasoning to ignore

Here's a solution if LA doesn't want to pay 12M for one coach.

Pay Phil 6M for all home games and isn't Fish looking for a job? Hire Fish (who knows the triangle as good as anyone) as a traveling coach for the vet min amount of 1.2M. Ticket holders get back 2 fan favorites and you don't have to break the bank to bring about a satisfying and effective solution.

I've heard the same as @Mike_Bresnahan - different source - that D'Antoni's knee would not be an issue if offered job/hired by Lakers

He also was asked "If Phil's prior experience with Kobe gives him an advantage" Mitch said something like "Phil doesn't need an advantage to be the head coach of any team" Basically saying if Phil wants it, it's his.

Two questions... somewhat interrelated.... when is Phil's first game..... and why hasn't the site crashed?....
