Regarding Phil, it was suggested to me that "his mouth's watering" at the idea of coaching these Lakers.

Weezy wrote:What I saw with the "Princeton" though was Nash turned into Ray Allen/Rip Hamilton. Bring the ball upcourt, throw it to a big at the 3 point line, run around the court, run through screens down low and come out on the other side, possibly open, but rarely open, trying to get the ball back. That's not the Triangle, Nash in the Triangle would bring it up, maybe pass to a big in the post or Kobe at the top, get the ball back a lot and either throw it back or go elsewhere, but he wouldn't be running around the court like Rip Hamilton trying to get open for catch and shoot baskets, he'd be able to actually stay in place more and get that rest you speak of. The principal of this system might have supposed to give Nash responsibility and rest, but in reality it didn't, it reduced him for Ramon Sessions and was a joke. I don't even think we're disagreeing here to be honest and I don't remember you getting flamed other than maybe for supporting Brown.![]()
In the end it simply boils down to this for me, we HAVE a good roster, they clearly can play well and win, we just need a guy to come in and bring the confidence, play the right rotations, put them in position to succeed, get the most out of his players, to me that is Phil no question. Tonight we beat a crappy team, yes, but they did it playing basically playground ball with the weight of Brown lifted, to me you put a guy as respected and good at coaching as Phil in there and the team will turn around pretty quick, the man just knows how to build champions.

Or... fksteveblake > Blake plays better than usual?
Cause by his standards, Blake has been relatively solid since Nash went down.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
Kobe said his personal sentiment is that it still kills him that Phil Jackson went out like he did in Dallas, esp. as his knee wasn't right.
