Who would you rather have after Kobe's era

Who would you rather have after Kobe's era

Postby earvinfr on Fri Nov 13, 2009 2:52 pm

It might has already been discussed and I don't even know if it's the right place to talk about it, but I was asking myself, if you could choose between Lebron, Wade or Durant to replace Kobe when he retires who would be your pick ?

Mine, is Durant. He hasn't done yet anything near to what Lebron or Wade has is this league, but in my eyes he's the closest to what Kobe brings to this game.

If someone can make be believe the unbelievable as Kobe does, it's him.

Considering Wade is only like 3 years younger than Kobe and relies heavily on driving to the rim and attracting contact... I think there won't be much left in his tank after Kobe retires

If true, Kobe will have to wear rings on his toes, two hands and 10 fingers will not be enough.

Lebron. Wade and Durant really aren't in that super elite class. He's the second best (non-Center) player in the league already.
Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this team- Kobe(Black Mamba)
When we win it, it's going to taste much sweeter knowing I played with the injury- Andrew(Lionheart)
Tomorrow is another opportunity to accomplish great things- Pau(Pauwer)
Ron Artest is the Game 7 MVP- Phil(Zen Master)
Q:Pierce says series isn't coming back to LA? A: [Mean Stare]- Derek(President)
If we don't win the championship, it's my fault- Ron(Tru Warier)

Wade and Durant will be super elite, they just won't be the best player in the league as Lebron will be.

Durant's potential is underrated. He's going to be better than most people think, and he's going to pass Wade eventually IMO.

Durant. Easy choice.

Portland must feel like idiots. First Sam Bowie then Greg Oden.

He needs defensive coaching, and experience, but his lateral quickness is good. If they ever got Scotty Pippen or someone like that in there as a special coach for Durant, he could become solid. Although of course Durrant would also have to buy into wanting to become a defender.

Durant has to work on impacting the game outside of scoring than defense. By that, I mean, he needs to work on his court vision/passing first. He also needs some work on playing within an offense, although I guess the coach has partly to blame for that.

Anyway, so far...Durant. LeBron is already a given, but I want some competition for him after Kobe's gone.

Obviously Durant. He'll not be the best in the league, but he will be a superstar; his scoring ability is amazing, and he was born in 1988. A 21 year old kid who gets numbers like 27/8 is pretty good. :man12:

I don't think LeBron and Wade are realistic choices so ...

Without a doubt, Kevin Durant. The guy is calm under pressure and I haven't seen him let his emotions get the best of him. He has all the tools to be a problem defensively as well. He has an insane wingspan.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

Lebron is the only other player that is even near Kobe's level. wade is too injury prone, and Durant hasn't proved much yet.

i would rather go with the proven commodity.

I'm willing to bet money that LeBron and Wade aren't ever coming to play for the Lakers.

Durant wins by default.

Option D. I'll take Superman 2.0 from Orlando.

A frontcourt of Drew and Dwight and all you have to have is 3 other starters who are good entry passers.
